Were there ever 2 better punchers than Ketchell & Langford in the ring at same time?

Fitz - Choynski and Marciano - Moore do deserve honorable mention ...

Dempsey - Firpo is right up there ... Firpo not on merrit but definetely on power ...

    Tyson - Lewis

    Foreman - Lyle

Hearns v Cuevas deserves a mention.

I would say Rocky Marciano and Archie Moore. Marciano had the highest knockout percentage of any 20th century heavyweight champion. Moore had the greatest number of knockouts of anyone. Certainly high level punchers.

I am surprised no one has nominated (unless I missed it) Hearns-Hagler, or Robinson-Armstrong.

    Other big matchups, Louis-Baer, Dempsey-Firpo, Foreman-Frazier, Zarate-Zamora

Firpo? really? He could punch, but he wasn't a great puncher or anything.

    You are correct.

Firpo was a big puncher but not a proven great puncher at this level.

    My list

    1---Marciano-Moore

    2---Louis-Baer

    3---Hagler-Hearns

    4---Langford-Ketchel

    5---Robinson-Armstrong

Williams is on par with Firpo. A big puncher but not a proven great puncher at this level.

Sorry to state the obvious but Rocky Marciano versus Joe Louis??? Has there ever been two more famed punchers fight eachother, in heavyweight history?? - I certainly can't think of anyother - and no two bigger heavyweights ever shared a ring at heavyweight either IMO

Langford and Ketchell are definitely two of the biggest punchers to ever get in a ring together. From what I've read though neither one took the fight to seriously.

Consistently? No. But that one single right hand Durelle turned over left Archie cross eyed on the floor, according to referee Jack Sharkey, who confirmed what a massive shot it was, and had substantial experiences to compare it to.
I think I'll throw in Galento with Louis, and the Baer brothers. Ron Lipton left no doubt about the power Tony's hook carried even well into retirement. In the footage of Two-Ton's brawl with Maxie, we can hear the thuds of their punches and the awed gasps of the crowd through the overhead ring announcer's microphone.

Robinson said the shot Artie Levine may have earned a knockout win with on a fair count was the hardest single punch he was ever hit with. As long as Robby's name is out there, SRR-Graziano might as well be mentioned.

Bigger on a pound-for-pound scale? Most definately not? Better, I'm not sure, I still tend to think of Ketchel as a bit of a crude puncher, even though he did present his opponent with lots of angles.

Damn right-it's obvious and we missed it.
