Were there ever 2 better punchers than Ketchell & Langford in the ring at same time?

Firpo was a murderous puncher. He iced Willard. He flattened Brennan. He had Dempsey down three times ... his skills were in question, his power not ..

just how washed up were willard and brennan? A dying billy miske flattened brennan. Not that impressive. I think Firpo having Dempsey down 3 times points more toward dempseys weaknesses than anything else. I saw Dempsey get put on rubber legs by 172lb Georges Carpentier.

Firpo could hit, but he certainly was not a "murderous" puncher. I never seen him put any snap or body torque into a punch. I don't think Firpo was any greater a puncher than someone like Rex Layne.

 

Hearns/cuevas had arguably the number one and number two hardest hitting welters of all time duking it out. Both primeish as well.
Im not sure if the number one and two of any other weight class fought like this.
Or maybe someone knows of another example?

 

You would consider Cuevas a harder puncher than Robinson?

 

Baer-Louis is prob the best choice. Baer is one of the greatest punchers of all time. Louis is the greatest puncher of all time.

 

Its arguable who is the harder single puncher between cuevas or robinson.
Obviously robinson is a country mile better at delivery,and has two fisted power and speed. Still many rate pipino as only behind hearns. (and some even ahead on pure power.)

So let me get this straight : Brennan was shot at 31 and Willard at 42 but Charles was still great at 33, Walcott a demon at 38 and Moore a tremendous heavyweight at 42 ? Nothing like Rocky nuts !!!
