Were we one year off seeing the greatest match up?

    Imagine if we could take 2 years off Carl Froch and he was matched to fight GGG, Would it have the potential to be one of the greatest match up's of all time. The only one thing we know for certain is Froch was never going to be knocked out so how would GGG handle it? It's sad this could not have happened.

    GGG vs froch isn't competitive, not for one second. Ggg would absolutely annihilate him and it's a waste of time thinking about it.


    Anyone who can't see how huge the talent gap is, skill gap, stamina gap, power gap and chin gap are, then I really can't see any amount of fight watching, reading or discussion on boxing could help.

    It's pretty much like fighters, some have it and some dont. The ones that don't have IT, they can't get it. You're born with it.

    I've noticed too many on here are like they've never watched boxing or what they're watching is flying way over their heads.

    It's like the fans who think povetkin is some great hw, or froch was an atg when he wasn't ever the best in any division during his whole career. Same with the Antonio Margarito fans thinking he could beat anyone because he had a good chin and decent stamina.

    Nope, his chin and stamina were never great

    I have already commented in another post about your unnatural obsession with GGG its obvious you would like to be with him and let him beat you around your ring :smh std's are rife in GGG part of the wowld so cap up dude.

    I know mate,this guy is talking about the guy with the hardest granite chin in boxing history,Foch went down but he would never be knocked out. Im under the impression Staminakills is either the most uneducated boxing fan in history or he has caught the GGG virus that is pandemic at the moment.

    You must not know of Staminakills. Rather than being Triple G's biggest fan, he is infact, Froch's biggest hater. Staminakills once remarked and restated that he thought there were at least 100 active boxers who were superior to Froch. This rather dubious and unfounded statement came not long after Froch's destruction of George Groves at Wembley stadium infront of 80,000 educated boxing fanatics.

    I have to disagree with you and say he was not in the top 100 boxers but he was in the top 3 fighters,styles make fights :good

    Go do your reaserch and give me a list of 10 all time fighters with a better chin than Froch. If froch is not in there I would be surprised and with over 100 years of boxing history to go at if he is in the top 10 then he is pretty extraordinary.

    remember froch posted on his fb for fans to decide who he wanted to fight i think it was out of dirrel , GGG and CHAVEZ JR.

    GGG won the vote pretty easily

    If Chavez had beaten Fonfara Froch wouldn't have retired.

    Remember too big, too strong then he retired.

    That's why I said to late,he had all but decided on retirement got kids a beautiful wife and the prospect of Parkinsons in the future because he never took a backwards step. I just think it would of been one hell of a tear up on a Hernes v haggler proportion.

    Off the top of head and not even including the heavyweights;

    Eubank
    La Motta
    Gavilan
    Toney
    Hagler
    laporte
    Basilio
    Monzon
    Provodnikov
    Mayweather

    That's a mix of old and current fighters with better chins than Froch.

    Froch had a great chin no doubt but no where near the greatest ever.
