Kessler has always been the same fighter....hes one paced one dimensinal robot...

Like I said Charles Brew /RObin Reid gave Joe better fights at supermiddle....and i am not suprised...

Kessler is one of Many WEAK fighters during Joes reign

When Ward chose to fight, I liked him. When he held as a tactic, initiating clinches and coming in with his head, I disliked him.

Kessler had no gameplan beyond his usual, so his lack of a left hook was a glaring omission in the fight.

Impressed with Ward, if anything. I had him winning without a shred of doubt, but I wasn't ambitious enough to expect him to take Kessler out back and make him his ***** like that. Kessler got absolutely manhandled.

Where's "Both?" Impressed with Ward's movement and speed. Disappointed with Kessler who is clearly out of his element. (Kess's whining afterwards added to the disappointment).. :-(

boxing fans being haters by nature will obviously vote for the 2nd option. That way they don't give credit to either fighter.

Ward came out and swept the first 4 rounds with his greater handspeed and footwork. However after teh first 4 rounds when Ward starting slowing down a little Kessler started catching him more and more. He was still getting caught himself and losing some of the rounds because Ward is a very good fighter himself but Kessler was nontheless getting some good shots in. In the first portion of round 11 he looked like he was taking control of the fight although it was gonna be too little, too late.

I think if this fight goes two more rounds, we have something like an 8-4, 7-5 fight. And then if you replace the ref with someone who doesn't tolerate excessive holding or leading with the head, then maybe Kessler can take 2 or 3 more points off Ward and we have ourselves a real real close competitive bout that could go either way.

Ward turned out to be better than I thought. I wouldn't say that Kessler was worse than I thought. He was still very good. Anything he couldn't do was a direct result of what his opponent was doing to him.

    A bit of both.

Ward surprised me to be honest, but his dirty tactics tainted my impression a bit. He could very well have done without that. If 'growing from a boxer into a figher' means getting dirty, he should've stayed a boxer.

As for Kessler, it was clear this wasn't the same fighter who faced Calzaghe, Mundine or Andrade. Even without the cuts I think he would have been outboxed badly.

Disappointed with Kessler, i thought he looked sluggish and rusty. I wasn't particularly impressed by Ward.

    Jepster,

Your boy Kessler is gonna get beat down by JT. Nothing nationalist about that. Just watch and you'll know what I mean. Nobody from Denmark is gonna beat a true american. Simple truths so dont get your feelings hurt.

    UpperStr8 in yo face!

    Dissapointed with Kessler.

I could not believe he kept eating those headbutts & did nothing.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Ward tries that **** with other fighters. I wish he had Froch next.

    More dissappointed in Kessler

Ward fought a great fight but made a lot of amateur mistakes and Kessler didnt take advantage. Kessler's jab didnt look like it had the same snap and power it was known for and his defense was wide open. Kessler's aresenal seemed limited too, Ward was open for the uppercut and Kessler never threw it. We built Kessler up as a complete fighter and it got exposed that he wasnt.
