It's great to see the resurgence of Cuban boxing. It's a shame that this list could have been easily ten times longer were if not for the communist regime banning boxing for all of those years

Nothing wrong with a Communist regime, Cuba is much better country for what Castro has done IMO; and boxing was not banned from Cuba...

dude, no disrespect but...what the hell are you smoking?

kid chocolate belongs ABOVE gavilan, hell even above all cuban boxers. eligio was the greatest cuban boxing masterpiece of all times. how dare you say chocolate doesnt belong above gavilan.:-(

if it wasnt for chocolate gavilan wouldn't even be a boxer in the first place, so is the majority of the cubans who were inspiired by kid chocolate.

There's nothing wrong with a Communist regime unless you happen to live under one.
But if you're the type of person who likes having no freedom of speech or religion, are partial to a totalitarian government, like being kept in the dark through censorship and media propaganda, enjoy facing torture and arbitrary executions for dissident beliefs then Communism's definately for you.
Although I've a suspicion you're being a little flippant with your statements I find it hard to believe you can justify the well doumented human rights abuses that occur in China,North Korea and indeed Cuba, the last remaining Communist/Stalinist regimes.

Well actually Cuba is not communist and although I like a lot of Marx's theories, no one has really given it a go.

There are massive advantages to banning superstitious faith, the silly concept of good and bad (that is prevalent in the west) and democracy, if you have the right people leading...

But anyway this has nothing to do with boxing, (although that is my fault, I started it) Sorry.
