    He had his 15 minutes of fame when he beat Teofimo Lopez just last year and then gets beat easily by Haney twice in a row. Is his career pretty much over or do you see him sticking around and fighting for a title again or perhaps even moving up in weight at some point?

    He may be able to get into the commentating game since his days of making serious bank in boxing are over.

    This is why you don't rank fighters off of one fight. Because you can just be in the right place at the right time and your best night can coincide with your opponent's worst one.

    Teofimo had been involved in an acrimonious divorce from his young wife, was clearly overconfident which even Haney and Bey noticed and mentioned, and he subsequently fought a really dumb fight, coming out of the blocks way too emotional and hyped up trying to live up to his pre-fight prediction of a KO1 and he subsequently got caught and dropped with a silly shot which he not only felt humiliated by but it it made him even more hyped up and emotional and it took forever for him to calm down and start using his brain.

    Either Haney moves upto 140lbs (where he is still big enough) or those belts end up back with Lomachenko.

    Good for him. He has a name, maybe one more fight against a guy on the up. Then can retire with decent money.

    Far more talented fighters than him never come close to getting a payday he has.

    He is a millionaire from his last 3 fights and could probably command another couple of 6 figure purses to see out his career.

    He can sit back at his holiday house on Santorini sipping on ouzo.

    i gotta tell you he has some stupid management. Devin is and will always be wrong for George- too fast and negative.
    George is a boxer who relies on speed so you match him up with someone FASTER?
    He could have had a couple of defenses of the title and then I would have gone after someone other then Devin.
    He was in the drivers seat following his win over Teo- hell any fight he had in Australia would have been a good payday for him and would have sold out and they pick DEVIN???

    He can extend his career domestically, but I really doubt we'll see him perform at world level anymore.

    So much doom and gloom.

    He was never expected to get to where he did so it's not as if his life is over because he won't re-reach heights that he was never expected to reach in the first place. Thousands toil away below world title level making a living.

    Losing to Haney x 2 doesn't mean he can no longer be a solid contender and get another shot. Lets see what Haney does moving forward.

    I haven't fact checked but a mate tells me Ferocious doesn't dehydrate much at all making weight. If that's true he could look at fighting lower potentially. He has looked pretty small beside both Lopez and Haney.

    So i'm still interested to see where he heads from here. It's not yet the end of the world.

    He can fight at 130 since he’s not that big at 135. He can win a title there.
