First boxing highlights was when I saw Michael Nunn highlights by Hanzagod. But what intrigued me other than his fights was his nickname. “Second to Nunn”, which eventually inspired my profile name. You.
I guess the first boxing HL packages that I became fully aware of for their high quality were those of Reznick’s - and he often selected great music to go along with them. After that, there seemed to be a greater proliferation of such HL packages or I simply noticed them more. haNZAgod, the uploader you referenced, also does top shelf HL packages. So they’re two names I click on without hesitation when searching up on certain fighters.
Way before the YouTube age, ABC used to fantastic boxing video recaps for its big fights. Like to set the stage. Also they’d do ‘year in sports’ packages where they’d do the big highlights from each sport, I think for the decades too. They’d do the same for fights to kind of give you a retrospective of a fighter. Here’s one from the Holmes-Evangelista fight starting around 3:30, about 4 1/2 minutes of Holmes highlights. I don’t generally watch highlights, I like to watch the whole fight. No clue which was the first, but I revisit this one from time to time: This content is protected
Think it was the mid 90's ESPN classic with I think Bert Sugar. Also ABC Wide World of Sports would often show highlights at times Like AlI Vs Frazier in Manila. Also one our local Spanish channels would show highlights of fights in Mexico, Central and South America. Though I didn't understand the language, but I saw the results this was the late 70's early 80's.
