147 i'd assume. Maybe 154 but you've got a lot of Middleweights at 154 like Charlo, Tszyu or the physical specimen Fundora. So i think 154 might be one too much. But at 147 he's 100% fine with his size. He's also young so he can grow into his fighting body over the next few years.
I think he had better top out at 140 because his lack of power would catch up with him at 147, especially given that he would lose his reach advantage there. He's still a kid, tho, so who knows.
He needs to learn to slip forward into a punch or get off the line. Ducking below the waist is illegal, and if Kambosos were just to hit him, in the back of the head or the back, he'd stop, but Kambosos didn't cheat back. Haney shows that he can't slip punches to the front foot, and that is HALF OF BOXING. he's half a fighter using illegal tactics to beat SMALLER FIGHTERS than himself. what is impressive about this?
He could fight at any weight over 135... Just not necessarily with any success It's always hard to judge how someone who relies on range and weight cutting with manage in heavier categories without those advantages. The somewhat limited punching power he has doesn't help either - start giving up range and height advantages and he could begin struggling pretty quick. 140 doesn't seem too much of a stretch - even with the lack of percussive punching power, but 147 seems a step too far.
Tank vs Rolly 1.5. Haney "boxes his ears off" and then once Tank finds they timing and rhythm, he stops him. Also, Tank won't play the holding game. He'll wrestle and insist he's the A side, and that Haney is holding (something I REALLY thought Geroge would do).
Just 140. He already has no punch at 135 unlike Crawford or Mayweather and Linares has already blown it.
