And the huge demand from the public for a Greg Page fight was built up in year or so between Pages decisive loss to Berbick or his pathetic losing showings v.s. Witherspoon and Bey ?

    Logical fights,

Rematch with Mike Weaver,,,,,(1982 or 1984)
Michael Dokes, but not with Don King as the promoter. (1983 or 1984)
    John Tate (1983)
    Greg Page (1983)

Logical to who ? Holmes post Cooney was all about money ... there was zero significant demand for any of these fights on a risk reward basis ... if boxing as a whole was to be staged on a level playing field based on utter fairness I'd say maybe but in reality it never happens that way unless it benefits the title holder .. sure Holmes manipulated the title in the last 30% of his reign but his eign was over seven years and 20 defenses ... he had a terrific run.

I'm starting to think your one ingenious troll.

At any rate, Weaver chased Holmes and called him out several times. Holmes and his people had no interest in the fight, with Larry claiming he was the true Champion and already beat Weaver at his absolute worse.

Isn't the mongoose related to the 'rat family',,,,,,,,,,,

A Mike Weaver rematch would have been fun for the whole family to watch, on Free TV.

Much like Larry beating up his old sparring partner,,,,Muhammad Ali.
