What 21 year old fighter was greater than Tyson from the Spinks fight?

No Neck, you're starting to come across as just plain hating Holmes, and you're entitled to that. The problem is, it really starts to make your points seem less reasonable. If you just hate the guy, you hate him. It's easier for us to understand where you're coming from when you give us background like that.

Holmes was a very great fighter, so was Mike. Mike was just very great for a shorter period of time.

No Neck, when it comes to Holmes and Iron Mike it seems you have trouble granting people legitimate points. You're better than that.

 

I don't see Tyson getting past even the Holmes who schooled the living yee haw out of Cobb.

I don't hate Holmes. He's just wildly overrated around here and granted every excuse in the book, but not quite as much as Old Foreman.

But beating a 38 year old Holmes says nothing about how Tyson would do against a 28 year old Holmes. nothing. That's the main point.

 

Tyson outperformed Holmes against the same opponents.

 

They were all older than when they fought Holmes...I think you know that, my friend.

 

Doesn't explain it. Williams was probably better for Tyson. No real evidence that Spinks was worse. Bonecrusher was better for Tyson. Berbick was better for Tyson.

Holmes forgot to fight Thomas and Tubbs so that's not up for comparison.

 

They both got beat by guys Holmes beat years before. Same with Page.

 

That part where I said Holmes is given every excuse in the book around here.

 

Well, you have a point. But that goes for many concerning Mike's lost to Douglas as well.
