Did anyone notice the size difference in gloves? Looked like de Mori was wearing pads compared to haye

 

If you dont like him dont watch him. Simple as. It was free to watch boxing. Im not going to complain. Id rather watch 1 round of that than 12 of wlad v fury. ok the guy was overmatched but its Hayes comeback fight, what do you expect. Hayes timing looked pretty good and that right hand was bang on the money. Next fight he needs someone durable to give him 6 rounds or so. Good interview after and good job asking questions no one asked in the pre fight pressers.

People need to bear in mind he was out for 3 and a half years, yes I know you lot don't really like him but at least be objective, the guy was poor but he was as good as you could expect Haye to face given that lay off. He could have taken a full on tough journeyman that is just a punching bag but he took a fight where the guy could bang, yes we didn't see it but there was more danger there than him facing someone who is 10-25 who had never been KO'd. **** fight but couldn't expect anything different.

No your a ****in idiot!!!! I wasn't defending it. I just said if anybody expected David haye to fight anyone better than that when he hasn't fought anyone is 3 and a half years is a ****in idiot. I actually thought De Mori might last a few rounds but he just froze in there, did not engage Haye at all, no head movement and few punches. You could have found club doorman around London that could have done better.

 

Impressive that Haye could pack out the O2 though- I wonder who broadcasts his next fight.

 

What did you guys think of the coverage from Dave? Do you think they could emerge as a player ?

 

Bit rough round the edges but fine- if Haye fights someone obscure next I'd have no issue with it being on Dave. Be sure Haye won't box anyone half decent on Dave if Sky pay a big rights fee.

I think Boxnation missed a massive opportunity tonight- it'll be interesting to see how well the fight rated.
