Where did you read that they told him ONE DAY before the fight he had 4 months to fight GGG?

Legacy should be greater than Money, the 1.5mill he made from Mundine would be peanuts compared to what he would earn as a unifyed champion, you dont cut your nose off to spite your face mate. I honestly dont belive Geale wants to fight GGG. He could have keept the belt by simply delaying the fight with Mundine, he held all the cards, its not as if Mundine would have said to him naa im not waiting until you fight GGG., Geale so confident he can defeat GGG, get it over and done with, keep the belt then go cash in on the Mundine rematch, win win situation for all but now he only has one belt, a payday and is seen to be ducking GGG. He said he will get the belt back, well i dont see it happening anytime soon, he is making zero efforts in making that fight happen.

He would have earned peanuts for a Golovkin fight. In boxing, there are no certainties. If he lost the titles to Golovkin, the value of the Mundine rematch would have decreased significantly as would his chance for a payday. We both know that was one of the incentives for Mundine taking the rematch. Do you honestly think Mundine would have fought Geale if he didn't have a world title/s??

 

I agree if geale loses to Golovkin there is no way choc would of fought. He hAs dealt with Mundine now let's hope the Golovkin fight gets made in the next 12-18 months.

 

Hopefully, once that annoying disruption known as Sam Soliman is found guilty of being a cheat, the GGG vs Real Deal fight can be made for June. Either that or Macklin as the IBF would probably have to have another eliminator.

mate i said long ago Geales excuse for not fighting GGG was that the risk did not equal the reward. Keeping that belt should have been looked at as the reward, not just the money. Legacys are not built on money, they are built on meaningful fights and winning belts. No doubt about it had he lost to GGG the Mundine money fight would have been devalued if not cancled all together but Apparently Geale can beat GGG easly, GGG is over rated and all that jazz, practice what you preach kinda thing, if you cant handle the heat then gtfo of the kitchen lol

Fact is mate Geale knew his obligations and went and made a fight with Mundine instead. he wanted money rather than keep the belt, he was not confident of defeating GGG or he would have fought GGG, defeated him, keept the belt and then fought Mundine. There was no rush to fight Mundine but there was to meet his obligations to the WBA.

 

Legacy isn't going to feed his family. Money is. Is is so much to ask that the WBA enforce its own rule of 9 MONTHS. Geale was a unfied champion and had already chosen legacy at that point. What is wrong with getting a well deserved payday and avenging the lone defeat on your record after achieving what he did?

FOS is cool pool and contributes a fair bit to this forum lads , personally I can't see him being anyone's alt , just my two bobs worth , terrific KO by GGG and all I can say is Ishida ain't Geale and Geale would be ten fold of of a fighter than he has faced thus far , so in the words of Miles Lane " lets get it on " and Ron Lipton or let it bleed should be the ref .
