That's not correct that he refused, this was pointed out before sometime ago that HBO refused the match, GGG was all go for it.

Geale is more interested in being the champion of New South Wales in Australia rather than growing a pair of testicles and showing something at world level.
He wants Soliman next then obviously he'll want another trilogy with Mundine probably before taking Soliman on again for 'all the marbles'

So your evidence is another poster who is unable to provide a source and uses the "this guy said that another guy said" as proof? HBO approved Pirog. There were no comments from the Golovkin camp after TO publicly refused the 164 catchweight and demanded the full weight limit. And by the small chance that HBO DID NOT approve the fight, why couldn't Golovkin fight TO instead of Ishida in Monaco?? He wasn't set to fight anyone when the Ishida fight was signed. He was even at the fight FFS. Face it: Golovkin ducked TO.

Oh, you talking about the same Geale who beat the Ring #1 and #5, Felix Sturm and Sebastian Sylvester overseas to unify the IBF and WBA (Super) MW titles?:patsch

Re-read the dribble you just posted and hopefully, the realisation that you're a idiot who DKSAB will wash over you, fool. :hi:

The level of boxing knowledge on this forum is abysmal.

Golovkin is overrated and Geale is lucky that he can still call himself a world champion (it must feel tainted to him).

Sergio Martinez is the king of the middleweight division, can't see anyone beating him this year.

Brutal.!!!! but it was no surprise has not helped him in his quest to get a Top 5 Middleweight show some balls and step up and fight Him,love him or hate Him he has a World Title there waiting for someone to come and take it,I have a lot of respect for Proksa,Rosado and Ishida for doing what other so called Great Middleweights seem to be in no hurry to do.

Lot of knockers of Golovkin but have been a fan of Boxing for many years, even Martiinez has conceded GGG is the next Big thing in His division it's not hard to come to that conclusion really Huge Chin, enormous power in both hands and Class it's the stuff nightmares are made of theres only one Middleweight out tehre with some chance of beating him and thats Geale just hope it happens sometime this Year.!!!

I do not think Geale has earned the official "Golovkin ducker" stamp yet.

He has a pro career to take care of first of all and bills must be paid. After he won the title against Sturm it was obviously more financially interesting to avenge his only career loss against Mundine. And professionally that fight made more sense as he now has a better record and better negotiating power for whatever lies ahead.

And then out of the blue this Sam Soliman guy beats Sturm as well. More respect for Australian boxing and another good payday fight with relatively low risk for Geale. When offered free lunch people tend to take it. Soliman will fight either Sturm or Geale for a hardearned check - possibly his last as a pro.

After that however - and I guess we are talking late 2013, early 2014 - Geale will really need to check his options at MW. He could fight practically everybody except Chavez Jr (Geale is too good and no reward for Chavez Jr). The problem is that it is only a fight against either Martinez or Golovkin that could boost his ranking amongst fans further.

I suspect he will stay busy with the likes of Proksa, Macklin, Murray or N'dam, while holding out for the chance of meeting Martinez (which has indicated he has about five more fights in him).

In total I will give Geale a year or two before he has earned the "Golovkin ducker" stamp.
