I really enjoyed last night. There were plenty of competitive fights and excitement. Enzo is getting his ugly Welsh head smacked in was my highlight. Just a good show overall.
I, too really enjoyed the card. I didn't get to see Frankie or Chisora, but I was quite surprised none of the fights went to a decision. The Cleverly/Murat stoppage was absolutely ridiculous. His eyes weren't closed, cut, his nose wasn't broken, he wasn't bleeding much if at all. Why stop a fight because a fighter is tired or blows his goddamn nose? It's the 9th/10th round, they're gonna be tired. The stoppages overall tonight were shocking. The Jennings one was out of nowhere, although I guess you couldn't do a lot about it, shame because it was just warming up. The Macca one was way too late, Dilks one was also quite weak. Didn't really watch the Macklin one, it was a good card but still left me with a feeling of underwhelming. It definitely progressed British boxing in a big way though, there's at least 5 fights which are highly appealing or even more-so because of tonight.
After the main event, along with Broadhurst. Was a great night, it'd be great if Frank could put something like this on every 3 or 4 months.
It was a very weak stoppage. It was a typical Franky performance he was completely outclassing Michael Kelly who could not hit a barn door with a banjo, but Kelly never looked in any real danger and the ref stopped it at the end of the round after Frankie starting laying into him but nothing was landing flush and he was still defending himself.
