So the biggest stars in the UFC dont even earn as much as a 39 yer old Jean Marc Mormeck coming in off a one year lay off as a title challenger. UFC taking over boxing? Dosnt sound like it.
Actually there's a lot of running in the UFC and Strikeforce, have been seeing lately, Boxing is a different sport, different injuries.
Yep, and MMA is set up to stay that way. Zuffa have monopalised the sport, you won't make good money unless you sign with them and even then what's considered 'good money' is at their dictation, and nothing more than a drop in the ocean.
You could self promote but most of the top guys/draws are with other companies. Financially it´s a **** sport to choose.
Damn we already have trolls droning on about this on the MMA forum now your thread will get moved there. Just surf the MMA forum next time before you add to it.
I like how the refs is stopping the ground hugging lately, but I think a quicker break is needed and should be a maximum of 15 seconds. I agree that watching the 2 minutes of wrestling that often goes on is lame, and even though Ruiz and Lewis and Holyfield made fine careers doing it in boxing, at least they were broken after 3-4 seconds consecutive.:rofl
Again ignorant boxing fan creaming there pants because they think those number are actually the real number the UFC fighter are getting paid...like this thread hasn't been done already thousand of time... Let's sit back and watch ignorant people talking ass about **** they don't know... This content is protected
UFC was almost dead until Dana White, backed by Zuppa, revitalized the franchise and created a market for it. Their fighters make good money, money that most of us would dream of getting. What else would those fighters be doing, working at IHOP? The disparity in pay is not just MMA vs boxing. It also exists in the ranks in boxing where a handful of fighters take the largest pieces of the pie with a small slice divided by the rest.
