If you're going to talk the talk then you need to be able to walk the walk. He slated all of Wlad's past opponents as "fat bums" who didn't want to fight and then he fought exactly like they all did. Even in round 12 he never went for it he should have thrown caution to the wind in the last few rounds and if he got KO'd so be it. Alll the Americans that called him a fake and a bottle job were proven correct. His excuse about his toe is absolutely pathetic as well. I've fought and won with a broken thumb(no local anasthetic either) but he can't fight cause of a broken toe?
Hardly, he made an arse of himself last night shwoing off his toe, he made an arse of himself for 2 years goading Wlad and he made an arse of himself by hardly throwing a punch and running from Wlad most of the night.
Haye has definitely made a knob of himself. But I suspect he's always been a knob, so it won't register much with him. He talked all tough and vicious and slated Klitschko as "boring" and "cautious" as all Klitschko's opponents as "bums who didn't try to win" who were "fat" or "injured" and "disgraceful". He said he was a primed, live opponent, a natural fighter, and Wlad's executioner. So, let's judge Haye by his own standards. He disgraced himself. And he tried to save face with some pathetic boy's excuse.
I doubt Haye cares, he was only in it for the millions, he is laughing all the way to the bank and will probably be hired as a marketing consultant. Farce against Valuev, Farce against Audley, Farce against Wlad.
Like I said all along. This whole scenario - was like Naseem Hameds career fizzling out to Marco Antino Barrera. The same happened with Haye. He talked long and big and disrespectfully. He finally signed to fight the best opponnet of his career for his career high payday. He went in there - and proved he has certain quality - to ride out the 12 rounds - without ever being really being competitive enough to win it. The bubble got burst - but he walked away with a huge payday - with one foot in retirement. He nows goes away and licks his wounds and hide away for a few months - while he hums and arghhs about wether to fight for one last time. As time passes by - he will be remebered as a big mouthed - big puncher - who when he stepped up to the elite fight of his career - turned out the talk wasent enough - and he werent the legend he thought. All these things - were similar to the way Hameds career effectively ended at the hands of Barrera.
David Haye said he would become Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion..? And he did. David Haye said he would bring back the heavyweight title to Britian..? And he did. David Haye was beaten by Wladimir Kiltschko and formiddle champion, David Haye toom punches allot of people thought, he could never take. And he did, give it a good go in my opinion. He didn't excalty just want to survive in there, he would at some point reach deep into his ego, and throw haymakers. Hoping, reaching for the Win. David Haye is a Winner, and this country like i have stated time and time again on here. We don't like winners, we cannot cope with confidants. There's a fine line of how you must act in this country, we are shallow and thickle and complete and utter losers. "Weather its these losers, spitting there dummy and moaning about not having any jobs, there's always something" The majority of people on the street, kids in schools. Are complete losers, and are taught to be complete and utter losers. Guys like David Haye, from a youngster take it upon themselves and form their own agenda and dare to win. "Knowing full well, that when they fall, the nation of bitter losers are their waiting to slate you" Thank You supremo, for proving my theory. You are simply a loser mate, i've never seen you make any note worthy thread before on these forums, or say anything of any recognition. This is the first time, I have EVER known of you're primative and "No Mark" membership on these forums. It will probably be the last time, i ever communicate in you're direction. Nation of losers, forum of complete and utter losers aswell. It gets worse and worse, as the years go by. There is no point in trying to change people, you will always have losers and winners. "We are just blessed, to have many losers these days"
I agree with this. It takes a hell of a lot of balls to challenge yourself and risk failure. Haye took the risk and came up short but trying makes him a winner to me no matter what the jackals say. Congrats to Wlad too. The guy showed a lot of class.
Why does Haye need to be given a pat on his back for doing his job? He talked alot of **** and didn't live up to ANY predications he made let alone taking the fight to the champ? And now all these ridiculous excuses? Fans have EVERY fight to be critical of him and his performance.
Because his "job" involves him taking on challenges that would make most people **** their pants. Fans have every right to be critical, so long as it's constructive, but taking pleasure in kicking someone when they're down leaves an unpleasant taste in my mouth. To me it makes them far worse than the person they're kicking.
Yeah - I gave Audely a shot at beating Haye - and I got that wrong - as Audely froze - Audely showed how cheap talk was in that fight. I gave Audely the benefit of the doubt - he would for once - in such a dangerous fight - come out guns blazing like he did against Danny Williams - but my faith in him was misplaced - because he just reverted to type. Maccarinelli froze too - and showed how cheap talk was. But I called this one right - siding with Wlad - When fighters - talk they talk - like Haye - they probaly really mean it - but when that moment of truth comes - fighters usually just revert to type - and Haye ran and Wlad dominated with the jab.
