Still, I find it odd that Cotto takes so much criticism for not defending his lineal title against one publicly desired opponent... Hasn't every fighter and lineal champion in boxing been doing that for their entire careers spare for perhaps one or two fights?

2nd and I've already said this. it will be a duck if Cotto doesnt fight GGG after his defense UNLESS ITS CANELO!! other then that I call it a duck. i would call it a duck for Canelo too but lets be honest here. Cotto-Canelo is the 2nd biggest fight in boxing to be made so i have no problem with it because that would make this year probably the biggest in the last 20 years.

Cotto-GGG is a big fight for us hardcore fans and some casuals (because some casuals still dont know GGG and it ****es me off) but we all know Cotto-canelo is a bigger fight. thats the only pass Cotto gets!! if he fights somebody, then somebody else expect for Canelo then its a duck

I know he is but i wont make the excuses for him and he wont either. if hes not gonna fight at 160 then he should notify the ring so the lineal title can be up for grabs. I think he will FIGHT GGG. I have no doubts

cotto is a business man now. and fighting ggg would ruin his business.
