Is there any trfuth to the rumour that Mundine is fighting Pavlik on Septmber 20th in Vegas ? if it is true then fair go to him , i heared he is taking the fight for next to nothing , that would indcate to me that he is indeed intent on becoming the best Middle out there and would get my respect Win lose or draw .

Some bloke claiming to be a promoter on a Pavlik thread last week , Ive given Mundine a fair bit of stick in the past over his selection of opponents but this would be a fair indication to me that he is serious about wanting to fight the best , the fella went on to say he took the very short end of the wedge when it came to the purse ( Which would make sense in a way after all the PPV revenue he has recived over the years ) and the fella went on to say he will create a storm at the first presser , which as we know Choc is more than capable of doing given his history of talking bollocks Sambo mate :deal wind up ? maybe , but stranger things have happened and i live in hope .

 

Francis , Im just trying to remain positive these days about Mundine's career as its rapidly going down the shitter , Lockett has a tenth of the skills Mundine has and got in there with Pavlik , why wouldn't Mundine do similar ? he has everything to gain from a tilt at the title and nothing to lose , its not as if it would be a one sided type of beatdown ala Lockett now is it ? I never have questioned Mundines ability only his desire , here is an ample opportunity for him to shut the likes of myself up .

 

If it's true then hats off to him, but I remain sceptical ofcourse.

However, Choc really isnt doing himself any favours by fighting Kim or any fighter of such calibre before a proposed fight between himself and Pavlik. The step up in class I'd say would be too much for him, plus the weight thing still has a question mark over it.

In my opinion, If he fights Pavlik, all these useless fights he's been having lately are going to catch up with him in a big way.
