Oh, the irony . . .

 

i found it pretty entertaining. a good chess match with alot of bad blood and drama. it was a pretty ugly fight tho.

Just as anybody who knows **** about boxing expected it would.

 

It wasn't even that bad.

 

Hopkins is a really boring fighter the majority of the time. In his early career he was exciting and had his skills with it. Then later he just became dirty and boring as hell. To his credit.... he puts on a masterclass performance with good output on the rare occasion, i.e. Trinidad, Pavlik, and Tarver somewhat... but for the most part this is the type of fights he gets into, if the opponent doesnt make it easy for him.

I thought it was pretty interesting. Hopkins tactically was interesting to watch for the first half, he just didn't throw enough. Once again it wasn't a fight where it was Hopkins age but his output, and its never been particularly high.

You know what? Cottons garbage ass didn't help. He reminded me of Cortez in Mayweather Vs Hatton breaking the fighters up as soon as they locked up. I mean damn give them a couple seconds to try and work out of the clinch.
Definitely not the fight to watch with a casual fan. It had it's spots but all in all, not an entertaining fight.

 

Cotton did a good job. Everytime there was a clinch Hopkins was holding and hitting to head/body/hip/leg and rubbing his head on the cuts. THAT's why Eddie was jumping in. B-Hop doesn't work his way out of the clinch, he uses it to cheat.
