What a snooze fest tonight?? Hopkins vs dawson blew Ass

Yeah it wasn't very exciting but Hopkins' surprised face after the decision was read is classic.

I can't help but question the boxing I.Q. of some around here. This is boxing, not a street fight.

 

It was actually better than what I was expecting. Good, technical fight. Not close to the worse Hopkins or Dawson fight I've seen as far as entertainment goes.

 

You still can't get over the fact he destroyed Tito Trinidad.:roll: You probably don't think he should be considered a legend either.

It def. had some eye opening moments, as well as technical mastery.

That flurry Dawson was unleashing when Hopkins had to flat out tackle him to put an end to that **** was awesome. :yep


Hopkins bulldozing with his head (and we're talkin' drive a man all the way across the ring) after each big right he'd throw was pushing it though.

 

Dawson in round 10 looked a bit special. A boxing clinic from Chad!

 

Both fighters are technically excellent, but Chad was just too good for Hops and has the style to beat him all the time. Although i give respect to Hops for staying competitive throughout the fight, that 114-114 was a disgrace. Hops never really clearly won any rounds. The early rounds were close but Chad won most of them through aggression, and clearly won the last 3. Also, we shouldn't allow those headbutts because its Hopkins. Chad fought a straight clean fight and beat him, Hops should have been deducted a point at least.

Agreed, that round 10 was fantastic, i've never seen Hopkins comprehensively beaten in a round than that, since RJJ of course.

Please no rematch. There really is no point as it won't be interesting enough and Hopkins would lose again. If Chad fights a simular fight against say Ward, i can see him winning....
