Just realised that Margo/Cintron, Gomez/Cotto/, Woods/Tarver, Dawson/Johnson, are on the same weekend. One of the best accumulative weekends of boxing for a long time. Is there any chance of watching all the fights or will they inevitably overlap?

i am happy there are a bunch of fights but none of the fights do it for me......cotto is gonna kill gomez, margo cintron was decisive is the first so i dont see the point of a rematch. dawsons a serious talent and i like watching him but the rest of the people on the showtime card are no good or to old to be good. i will be watching it but lookin forward to next weekend more

I have a sneaky feeling Gomez will make it very good fight, although Gomez will likely be too brave for his own good and get pretty beat up.

Woods will make the Tarver fight interesting. He's like crap version of Calzaghe but he comes to fight.

Cintron doesn't do anything for me either.

    I've never seen Dawson fight.

dawson is very athletic and very talented. i see gomez being to brave as well and see this fight ending like the darchiniyan victor burgos fight. i hope the ref stops it before he gets seriously hurt

The odds are definitely in the fans' favor: with all these fights, at least one of them has to be a killer. I've never seen Dawson, have read a lot about him, and am looking forward to seeing him fight. Woods, too, but I have lower expectations there. The Margarito-Cintron fight should be really entertaining, if only briefly.

I was thinking the exact same thing just now and I immediately went onto the forum so I could find a thread with this sentiment and say I had the same thought.

The telecasts will start with Showtime at 9pm.

    Woods-Tarver 9pm

Then, most likely the evening will look like this:

    10pm Dawson-Johnson
    Margarito-Cintron

    11pm Cotto - Gomez

I am most interested in Dawson - Johnson and Cotto - Gomez.

HBO replays their fights early on Sunday morning and with Showtime, you just never know.

Well I just assumed they wouldn't have so many top-tier-ish fights on the same weekend, but then i thought today they MUST be on the same weekend, hence my rubbing of hands in anticipation.

DVR will be my friend this weekend for the Showtime Show.

I'm going to AC and might get lucky with Tickets. If not - I'll watch the fight in my room and go to the after parties.
