What are the chances of this fight happening next for the ibf as its looking like froch fights Chavez in Vegas? Would the ibf allow groves to fight for the vacant title straight away? Kalle and Eddie seem to be happy to work together so I don't think that would be a issue but do they want groves to rebuild first? Would sky put groves/degale on at the O2 as part of a double header in September with froch Chavez the main event from Vegas?
pointless fight, If I was degale I owuld cash in his mandatory for Bika's belt then look to fight Groves would be qa big money spinner with the belt on the line
Eddie said in an interview with Kugan yesterday(?) that the IBF wouldn't allow someone coming of back to back stoppage defeats to fight for the title. Also said Degale's next fight will be for the world title whether that's Froch or for the vacant title. I'm guessing Froch vacates the IBF and fights Chavez in Vegas and Degale fights for the vacant title, and looking at the rankings it would be against Christopher Rebrasse.
Degale will go for the IBF title when Froch vacates. Groves should have a rest, take 2 or so steady fights then get in with Abraham which can be made through Sauerland.
I got the vibe from that video that Froch will vacate the IBF title to keep things on the good ship Matchroom in order. DeGale should beat Rebrasse with relative ease to claim the title and likely set up the Groves rematch later this year or early 2015.
George should have a couple of tuneups then take Abrahams belt then maybe after fight with Degale. I don't think Carl will touch Degale and will be retired before Groves gets in to position for another shot.
nope groves is below degale now with two striaght stoppages , time to rebuild , degale could end up with that world title before groves yet , oops remember he got beat off a unskilled fighter that is old slow and very predictable who walks on to to many shots , just not off groves
Froch will keep the IBF with an exemption and fight Chavez. He could vacate after the fight because his next fight, if he has one would be in May probably. Groves never beat anyone in IBF top 5 to become mandatory first time around - the top four were unavailable. The rematch mandatory he was coming off a TKO loss, still after not beating anyone in IBF top 5. Now he's coming off a non-controversial TKO loss and still hasn't beat anyone in IBF top 5, so why on earth would Groves get a shot at Degale?
DeGale has made a **** of himself imo and keeps blocking his own path , He got himself into pole position in the WBC rankings then jumped towards the IBF route to gain mandatory knowing Froch can have voluantarys after being Madated with Groves , If he keeps blabbing the word Mandated im gonna slap it right on that Tefal forehead of his the annoying muggy **** , The boys an absolute Knob
Doubt it to be honest. Sauerland's can leverage an opportunity for Groves in a far quicker fashion than anything available to DeGale. All this talk of Groves fading into obscurity is naive.
