I would like to see this fight but i think Maloney has talked his way out of the fight saying all the stuff about dunne and Peters.

If it comes off i think it would be great fight it clearly has the forum split already which makes for a good fight and a few arguments

Problem is that its only the people on here and other forums that really give a ****. If you ask joe punter who is likely to go to the O2 would they prefer another world champion (Caballero), the best in the Division (Vasquez) or a fighter who hasn't done anything outside of the EBU (Munroe) then I know what people will go for. The Ireland v brit thing isn't half as big a selling point as people like to try make out.

Anyway, the plan for team Dunne now is to go back and get on some big cards in america and rake in the big cash by fighting big names and for other belts. If that all falls through and thye can't make it happen then the Munroe fight makes sense.

However, considering Dunne has offers from Molitor, Caballero and Cristobal Cruz (at FW for a world title) as well as a few other irons in the fire then people need to realise Dunne v Munroe is nothing like as big a fight as can be made

Put it this way, if the roles were reversed and Dunne was EBU champion, having turned down the chance to defend against Munroe numerous times, then Munroe picked up the world title. All the brits on here would be telling us that Munroe had bigger better things to be doing than going and fighting Dunne. And they'd be right too

This is why I described Dunne as the Anthony Mundine of 122. Those in Ireland think he is a champ, just like the Aussies did with Mundine

yeah thats what you described him as. you also talked a lot of other bollocks in your thread too.

Aslo, if you think the EBU is a better belt to hold, and offers a stronger position for advancement, than the WBA strap Dunne has then you are insane. Dunne has been offered a Featherweight world titlte shot. He has options to fight Molitor and Caballero. Vasquez is a real possibility. All will be prime time (or maybe even PPV) tv and in front of a packed house.

If Maloney picked up the phone on behalf of Munroe could he muster as many options? Could he ****. No disrespect to Munroe (despite his Dunne hating fans and arsehole manager) but the only people who seem to think Dunne -v- Munroe is the best fight out there are Munroe, his arsehole manager, his Dunne hating fans and probably his family.

Vasquez or Munroe?? Hmm tough choice.

Munroe is now a good fall back option. Nothing more than that

Yes very. Both camps have already felt each other out about it. Long way from anything being signed and sealed but they have had contact and the idea has been floated.

Just clocked you are from leicester.

if you mean am I serious that Munroe isn't a big a draw and high profile money spinner as Vasquez or another of the big names that box in america then yes again I am very serious

american tv are seriously intrested after that foty contender and want molitar , cabbalero or vazquez as a big fight in america . munroe im afraid dos not even come into contention unless all these fights fall through . i think dunne honestly wants to go for the big challenge and try and make it big in america and make some serious cash , so dont be surprised if he fights any of the big names in his next bout as caballero and molitar have already called him out along with cruz at feighterweight
