Joyce is the most likely option, he's also frozen out at the moment. And both are with Haymon, who probably wants to develop a new top HW contender to challenger Joshua/Fury/Wilder.

Povetkin is less likely, I think he's popular enough to get opponents and he's a well-known name.

Apart from that, as you said, I think Hunter might be crazy enough to take the fight. I would add Whyte but Hearn won't let him.

 

He laboured a bit in his fight with Kaufmann, though it was more a style thing. Kaufmann used a lot of movement and Ortiz is a bit of a plodder so cutting off the ring isn't something he's good at, Ortiz is at his best with someone that will take it too him.

Ortiz is in a tricky position, he's too dangerous and brings nothing to the table, no belt, no big payday and no mandatory position. His best bet at the moment seems to be Joyce as he's the only one calling him out that might actually risk fighting him. Though that could be a tough fight, he needs to stop Joyce early or he'll be overwhelmed when he tires.

Maybe Haymon can set up a eliminator for him for the WBC or IBF titles as those are the only bodies he's ranked by. Maybe he can do a deal with Hearn as he's said he's trying to sign him to a 3 fight deal for DAZN. Whatever happens he needs to stop fighting these low level opponents and step up again soon, he's not a young man, he might have 1-2 years left before he fades and is no longer competitive.
