What is the latest news about Povetkin? I'm hoping by this time next year we will be calling him Alexander the Great. Now wouldn't it be great if he got rid of one of those insufferable Klitschkos? :yep

That pile of lard ain't beating the Klitschkos. Both Klits stop him with ease. But fear not.. Haye may rid of one of the Klits for us next month...

If Haye beats WK it'll be interesting to see what Povetkin does... chill until an IBF shot becomes available or what.

I think Wlad owes him the next shot if Haye goes down. Late fall, I'd reckon.

What about Povetkin?, he would be a great gatekeeper for who deserve to fight the Klitchkos.

He does home some technical prowess, but the guy is a relatively light punching HW with an average defense, this is not a good recipe

The man is an Olympic gold medalist, undefeated in 17 pro bouts against some pretty decent names, 29 years old and has time to develop more. He isn't a big fatass either and you want to relegate him to gatekeeper? Man that's harsh. Yeah I guess he should be undisputed champion by now

Heres a good question what is Oleg Maskeave doing? If the boxing committees had any balls they'd put these two against each other. They can put their title shots on the line. Their both russian so they could sell the fight pretty well in Russia. So everybody wins.

Potvekin will beat vitali. Vitali is mediocre skill wise, old, much slower reflexes, and has proven himself very limited in heart and lack of toughness. Wlad on the otherhand is much better than his brother and will defintley defeat potvekin

I'd put him at least 50-50 against any heavyweight not named Klitschko.

I'm not sure that Maskaev would want that fight considering he is most likely going to lose, especially if he performs like he did against Sam Peter. However from Povetkin's point of view it might be good experience. If he can't beat Maskaev there ain't much chance against the Klitschkos.

Why is it none of his opponents nor his sparring partners think he is light punching? :huh

For the Klits not for the whole HW division. I give the man his props offensively, his arsenal is as good as anyone. The problem is hes got alot of holes in his d. Rewatch the Chambers fight and replace Eddie with Wlad

Well past 50% in AP's favor in those cases. Someone like Chag could still present him some problems and I'd make that an even fight.

    :patsch

the only think you got right in that post is that Vitali has proven himself very limited in lack of toughness.

Chagaev beat the great Felix Savon twice, there ain't many guys who can brag about that. I don't know if he can perform at that level anymore, but if he can he is destined to run over everybody in the division, and that includes Povetkin.
