Povetkin can beat just about everyone, but not Klitschkos. Dimirtrenko is looking good also. Povetkin has already beaten Chambers.

Isn't Chag blind in one eye these days, or was that just a rumor?

Chagaev is a very good fighter. He was cheated when he was in America, slept in the gym, had to go back to Europe to get a decent shot at boxing. He is a good fighter. Povetkin is good fighter.

I don't know, but I do know that if he can't perform like he did 10 years ago Povetkin or the Klitschkos will knock him out. He has a young man's style which is kind of dangerous when you get older.

Please further Explain. I is common sense Wlad is far more talented than Vitali. He is also better in every single offensive department and defensive department than Vitali. Only thing Vitali has on Wlad is Durability. Wlad is tougher. Wladimir never quit on his stool well ahead on all 3 cards with just 2 rounds to go vs a harmless feather fisted cruiserweight like Chris Byrd.

Your interpretation is faulty. This concept of "quit on your stool" is an element of American boxing culture which Europeans don't share. He had an injury so he stopped the fight, but this macho notion of "quitting" wasn't in the decision nor part of the motive. When an American quits you know he has been beaten down and is no longer mentally in the fight. Vitali is much more of a fighter than his brother. So far he has never buckled under pressure. Talent has nothing to do with what is in a man's heart.

I don't see these East Euro guys as being that skilled.

Arreola is the #1 prospect. Arreola has it all underrated speed, defense, boxing skill, and power. Arreola chin is solid but not great. Yeah, Walker and Mccline both rattled him early but that is his only weakness.

Most of the East Euros use a variation of that European style: Left, left, right...straight in, straight out. Some of them do it better than others. Although Povetkin still does it to a degree, he obviously comes to fight and to get knockouts through his high work rate. His lack of lateral movement makes him vulnerable, but most opponents don't hit him hard because they are too preoccupied with not getting hit. It is not clear what Povetkin plans to do to neutralize Wladimir Klitschko's size and speed advantage. Anybody know?

Denis Boytsov is a much better prospect.

I would not take SuzieQ49 seriously in his evaluation of Vitali Klitschko.

Povetkin might be the 3rd best heavyweight out there, behind Wlad and Vitali.

If Povetkin has a good manager, he fights for the WBA belt ( held by Valuev or Chagaev ).

Povektin has good speed, good skills, good stamina, and a good chin. His power is solid with either the right or the hook, but he's not a true power puncher.

I think Povetkin needs to lose about 10 pounds and work on his defense a bit. The trouble is Povetkin isn't built to be a top out fighter. He is not very tall and his arms are not very long. His best stuff is on the inside, where he can throw any punch in the book or combo.

:lol:A guy who seriously thinks that Arreola is the next big thing certainly has no right to think that these"East Euro guys" are not that skilled.

Besides why do a lot of people here on this forum tend to think that the Klitschko brothers are eastern europeans?

    I dont get it!

Russia,Ukraine,Belarus, and most countries of the former soviet union are no part of europe-neither culturally nor religiously nor in any other way.

I think Povetkin has a good chance against Wlad but the problem is - is that if he beats Wlad he has to face Vitali.

Now if he can get past both of those guys - assuming they are still champion at the time they meet then i'm sure that he would be considered the HW champion of the world.

Povetkin's stock had risen higher since Chambers beat Peter who game all kinds of prblems to Wlad....I know that styles make fights, but Povetkin has a real chance against Klitschko, Povetkin is a very durable guy that comes forward and uses lots of feints (spelling)..
