Roy said he wanted to take his show on the road after the Tito fight.

If he can't secure Calzaghe in Cardiff because Hopkins and Joe do get it on mid-year. Why not Roy come to Australia and fight Green for the WBC title at a big stadium that can cater fot 25k people plus. What a build up it wld be in the media with Mundine in Roy's corner.

On todays performance i think Roy by UD unless Danny gets lucky, bit like the Mundine fight.

    Thoughts???

P.S Big money fight for both imo

Would be good to see, but somehow I think RJJ will be chasing a final payday with Calzaghe or maybe even Hopkins. Green would be dangerous for RJJ in my opinion as he's a natural light heavy.

If i were Green i would be on the phone right now offering jones jrn 5mil and a title up for grabs.

The oz dollar is near on par with the $u.s so shouldnt be too much hassle especially seeing green has some solid backers.

Would be a smart move be roy to accept as i feel it would be his easiest way of being a champ again and also give him some extra bargaining tools if he wants another fight.

    Money+Titles=signed contracts

Green would have to travel and as much as I like him, he'd have to bring his own silver platter to hand over his title after what I saw of Jones Jnr today.

But full credit to him if he pursues the fight, at least it shows he has some heart and not afraid to face a serious contender. At this stage though I think Roy would be chasing bigger names for better money.

There's only 2 bigger names and both are fighting each other in April.

Don't forget Green has a title and Roy knows it's an easy win as his bum chum Mundine outpointed Green already.

If i was Roy i would be licking my lips about this fight.....5 mil Aus + title + good leverage with winner of Hopkins/Calzaghe for his final fight.

What are you people smoking talking about Jones looking good? He was flat footed, couldn't counter punch and couldn't get the much naturally smaller retired guy out of there, Jones looked worse than i'vr ever seen him, when Trinidad was banging his gloves Roy was doing the squinty, glazed eyes look that he had against Tarver in the third fight when Tarver landed that counter right hook that almost took Roy out, if anything i give Green more of a chance after that, Roy looked terrible.

Can't see where the $5 million would come from. Roy does like his titles but surely the only fight left for him would be the winner of BHop & Calzaghe.

Jones more looked more concerned with his dance moves than taking out Trinidad. Got the feeling he held back after that first knockdown. I disagree with your assessment lefty, but thats just how I saw it. The jump up in weight was just too much for Trinidad and he never really looked in danger to me.

green is champ so why the fk would he pay jones anything? like all other pretenders if jones would want the fight, he comes for nothing, if lucky may get usa tv for his troubles.
secondly he beat a washed up junior middle weight so suddenly he's the rjj of old? don't think so. did some of you even watch the fight? lefty is the only one talking any sense.

RJJ is one of the best fighters in the last 20yrs.

He wld pack out an Aussie stadium no problem.

Roy did look hazey eyed again i must admit and i was worried about him getting KO'd again but he weathered the storm. Roy didnt look too good to be honest with ppl but i still bet all my vcash on him against Green.
