Actually we'll never know if he was, because Wladimir took care of business and got Austin out in 2, with ONE HAND. Solis had his hands full, only up by a point or two after 10 rds.
Honestly Solis was out of shape and ****ing around. I think he will take his fight with Vitali much more seriously
Another point is Adamek beat a 40 year old Micheal Grant this year. I don't consider that a great win by any stretch. Because he didn't come close to dropping him, and was hurt in the 12th round. Fighter's can have bad nights, and i define a a boxer vulnerable when he is hurt . Solis was not...
He lost four of the first eight rounds to that man, too. To be fair, he was on the verge of knocking Austin out (probably at the start of the 11th) but he looked mediocre at best up to that point.
To say Haye, Peter, Boysov, Chambers and Adamek are not on the same level is quite a stretch. Yes Solis is talented, and he has decent head movement and good accuracy and obviously excellent timing. But what good is all that if he doesn't have the passion and discipline in the gym that you get when you take your profession seriously? Solis doesn't have to punish himself in the gym as he already has a million dollar contract with his German promoter that guarantees him gold chains, diamond encrusted Swiss watches, a hummer truck and an assortment of fine latino ass straight from Miami beach.
I had high hopes for Solis when he turned pro but as long as he is over weight he will be no serious threat to the Klitschko's. Solis looked awful against Austin. He looked slow, plodding and easy to hit. He looked like a skilled Arreola. I would even favour Haye to beat him, who would be too fast and athletic for him now.
Solis done beat that clown, so where dose that put Haye? if Solis beat him, that's makes Daveyboy an even bigger joke....
That's certainly not a good sign for Solis. I thought he was better than that. His attitude about his weight is a bad omen too. He said he doesn't think he's fat. He's ****ing delusional and I think Vitali will handle him pretty easily.
