He really was affected by a long term eardrum injury that affected his balance in the Eubank fight. So he really could have done better against Eubank. That wasn't an excuse. That's surgically fixed now along with other long term injuries...plus he is ....finally....training like a pro too.
He is one paced and slow...but if a guy can't cope with what he brings he can be a very tough nights work. Him v Andy Lee would be a good domestic scrap...or Lemieux or Stevens...

I’m a fan, Len. He’s not technically great, but he’s all action with a fantastic chin. Must be demoralising landing loads of shots on him only for him to keep marching forward like the Terminator. He gave Eubank a good scrap. BJS had (until last night) a career best performance against him. He’s an handful for anyone.

Oh I realise your a fan no prob 20.
Funny thing 20.... I was out with the missus doing the xmas shopping on Saturday...slogging around the shops pushing her (she's in a wheelchair) ain't my idea of fun. Uncharitable of me I know:) Anyway ...so I wasn't too full of xmas cheer if you get my drift. Next thing We ran into a mutual friend of our and Spike and we had a good chat about spikes upcoming fight. Cheered me right up. The he goes and pulls off the big win 12 hours later. Yay!

Haha, my experience of shopping with the missus at anytime of the year is never fun, mate. That’s a nice touch though, i’m made up he won.

I went out on the lash after work last night. Met up with my mates, got drunk. At 3am I got a kebab and got in a taxi. Stuffed my face at home and excitedly set my laptop up to watch boxnation. Next thing, my missus is prodding me awake at 7 in morning...i’d fell asleep for the fights. Was devastated haha. Watched them this morning but it’s not the same.

Have to say, that's the best I've ever seen him look. Looked like his hand speed had gotten a bit faster also.

Opponents tactics all wrong, put too much into his early punches and got drawn into trading too much after first 2 rounds.

Still that's not Spikes fault and a great win for him, should get a decent fight and payday next out of that.

I'm gutted I didn't bet on Spike and Ulysse on the undercard, I really fancied both but bottled it. They had some nice odds.

Good win for Spike, one I didn't expect him to win. Felt more let down by Douglas than anything else, he was so static and looked very slow. No ring IQ either, really poor.

Spike is fun enough, happy to see him out against someone decent again next

I want to see that as much as I want to see Sarah Beeny’s fun bags....What a great fight that would be.

No - he was stopped on his feet -prematurely I felt at the time, not sparked out at all. Spike ended Douglas much more decisively than Khurtsidze did.
