Dont get me wrong i aint a Tarver fan but why does a guy who beats Rjj TWICE earlier then Calzaghe gets his victory today get way less props for it??

Alot of people are riding Joes nuts like this win sealed his legacy of greatness when Milkdud already defeated a younger(little less shot) RJJ TWICE???

I aint forgetting johnson but just thought its strange how a bloke who defeats a guy TWICE(once by brutal ko) gets nowhere near the same recognition as Calzaghe has.

    Im interested on opinions?

Also willing to listen to Calzaghe nuthuggers and Milkdud haters thoughts.

Just please dont tell me RJJ was any better today then in his earlier defeats...

Maybe because Tarver is totally inconsistent and puts in 1 abysmal performance for every 2 decent ones.

Tarver has the better win, no doubt, beating a close to prime Jones who still had that air of invincibillity. That required a lot of self belief and mental toughness and he deserves a lot of credit for hat accomplishment.

Because, Joe has never lost and continues to defeat people time and time again with some impressive performances.

Tarver always blew hot and cold and Johnson had been previously dominated.

I understand where you are coming from but here are my excuses:good

    1. Tarver.

Their second fight was a ko win for Tarver which was an excelllent victory, but alot of people could have seen it as a fluke.

In their rubber match i thought it was a well fought fight and Tarver proved himself the better man. I had the fight 116-112 for Tarver, but i thought Jones made a good argument of it and there were times when i though he may take over.

    2. Johnson.

Seriously i dont know what to think of this fight and i really believe it wasnt the 'true' Roy in there.

    3. Calzaghe

I think Jones came into this fight in better mantal and physical shape than in his fight with Johnson. But in this fight he was outclassed in every department and i truly believe that Calzaghe could have forced a stoppage if he wanted to around round 9, and in the end the fight was like a glorified sparring match.

As a leaving note i think all the victories have merit, and they all are very good wins for each individual fighter.

Because Roy was past it,Tarver was the right man in the right place, cuz Tarver is hugely inconsistent, cuz nobody likes his big mouth,he never backs up what he says.

Yes you have given me a run down on each fighters career but why is Joe's victory over a fighter 2 other(3 technically) have already deafeated more impressive??

Look Joe is the better fighter out of all to beat RJJ but all must admit this aint the fight to seal a legacy...It was the name but it just want the fight...Not 2008 Jones..

When u are talking legacy, greatness etc you cant say beating a 39yr old shot great who has lost 4 times previously(2 via ko) is the fight to seal it..

Joe must fight some1 else..I dont know who as there aint much out there but possibly Dawson i guess.

That isnt the point...We all know that..

Just why is this the fight that sealed Calzaghe's legacy??RJJ's name alone aint good enough..

The b-hop victory had more merit if we are getting picky..

I dot think this is the fight thats sealed his legacy. Infact i think the Kessler fight sealed that as i think Kessler is going to dominate over the next 5 years.

Kessler is going to make Joe look great over the forthcoming years....mark my words.
