I think Wlad knows best not to judge AJ's loss yet. It's a tad too early to say if this was a temporary stumble or the end of his career at the top of the division. It took Wlad quite a while to get things back together after the Sanders loss.
Ruiz is a far better fighter then Sanders who was a surprise fighter ,liked to jump at openings. Had Wlad actually trained for the fight properly he would have won ,ppl are forgetting levels and you as well will most likely be remembered on that when AJ defeats Ruiz, both you guys talk nonsense on the subject and forget the word LEVELS bc they really do exist. .if they didnt guys like Rahman would be the best HW fighter in Lewis era and Sanders would be a ATG blasting past Vitali ... lol
Ruiz has awesome power and a tight defense making his hard to beat on the inside, he also has faster hands than Sanders had.
Why am i talking nonsense when you actually agree with me that Sanders wasn‘t all that and the other poster was the one suggesting Sanders was an elite level fighter ? Salty because i said Ruiz vs Joshua rematch is a 50/50 fight ? That‘s how i see it, i will admit that i was wrong if Joshua bombs him out of the ring in the rematch, something you‘re not capable of.
ludicrous, when a obese boxer is "noted for his great speed." the actual fact of the matter is that joshua's size means he LACKS speed, so anyone with normal speed can catch him if they time him.
Seemed appropriate. I mean to suggest Ruiz beating Joshua is equivalent to Sanders icing Wlad is laughable. Then to call me some sort of fanboy..if its not immaturity then drunk was the correct response.
Young Wlad would possibly have lost just like Joshua did, prime Wlad shuts Ruiz out and gets the decision. Prime he's not dumb enough to open up and trade with Ruiz, he runs him on the jab and uses his superior footwork while tying him up. An easy nights work. Joshua lacks the defensive side and is too clunky to get out the way of Ruiz. That said, he can spoil and drag it out next time around.
Vladimir turned his career around. Regrouped, re set his style & went on a title run (Byrd, Peter, Haye, Pov, Pulev, Iggy, Thompson, Brock, Austin etc) that will probably see him HOF bound .. Can AJ do that against Ruiz, Wilder, Pulev, Fury etc? Sometimes losses can make u better. We've seen this many times recently in fact: Andy Ruiz Jamel Herring Julian Williams Andrew Cancio Now is the REAL test for Joshua!
It's HW.. Anything can happen! But having FOUR KO losses in 69 fight's doesn't suggest that to me .. Of course idiots like u aren't nuanced enough to appreciate this or allow for a fighter to evolve or factor in context.. But considering OLD Wlad went 12 with Fury, beat peak Pulev easily & matched Joshua punch for punch in a life & death fight in which his old legs had gone & his gas tank was running on fumes by that stage of his career.. & he still got up too! I tend to disagree... Steward taught Wlad how to play to his strength's, negate his shortcomings & perfected a style that worked for him.. Footwork, pacing himself & the jab was the key! Vulnerable fighter yes but one who had the fortitude & mental strength to overcome in the end... Could he get KOd? Ye, but u could equally argue that WK had an equalizer too in the right hand... considering Wilder, Fury Whyte & Joshua etc have all been levelled by lesser men than prime WKs ATG right hand! Work's both ways.. Usyk? Again, anything is possible but he dealt with Hayes power & speed.. Your Germany comment is ignorant too, WK got some of his best wins under his belt on the road like McCline, Brock, Iggy, Peter, Jackson, Jennings, Mercer, Bostice etc in the US. Povetkin in Russia. Tony Thompson in Switzerland. He also fought Barret & Joshua in the UK too.. & Germany wasn't even his homeland anyway! Certified moron.
