Unfortunately for Roy,Tarver was his best comp and he got ****ed up,and the nerve of people to rank him next to SRL,SRR,Hagler,Duran, and Hearns is complete bull****.

He will be remembered for what he did in his prime, a JMW who moved all the way up and won a title at HW.

The big name missing from Roy's resume is the Tiger, whether it's Roy's fault or not I don't know. It doesn't bother me that Roy didn't fight Lennox or Tyson because then you're really straining for someone to beat him, we're talking ridiculous size advantages...and even then I'm sure if he somehow beat them someone would say "that wasn't a prime Tyson or Lewis".

I can't really think of anyone Roy really ducked outright, I've heard stories about other top guys ducking him though.

It is funny that even some of Roy's much lesser known opponents had some accomplishments as well suchas Julio Cesar Gonzalez eventually became a lineal light heavyweight champion and Clinton Woods went on to grab a belt and had some good fights. Eric Harding, I think, was only a contender but he had some good bouts handing Montell Griffin his 2nd loss, beating Antonio Tarver (and was up on the cards solidly in the rematch before Tarver got him with something vicious in the 5th). He also gave prime Jones his hardest fight.

Ok so what,Hearns righthand was broken in his fight with Dennis Andries, and Hearns ko'd him plenty of fighters have fought with 1 hand holyfield fought for 4 years with a ****ed up shoulder,no matter what you say im never gonna be impressed by Roy,I also remember a old Hearns challanged him at cruiserweight and he didnt want it.

when you discredit someone whose prime was between 160 and 175 for not fighting evander holyfield and mike tyson, you're hating.
