The main advantage with even just testosterone supplementation is recovery, especially for the lighter weights where you need to make weight. A 10 week fight camp for someone who has to not only get in fight shape but also lose 20-30 pounds devastates the body in all sorts of ways, natural testosterone levels will take a pummelling and will also have other downstream hormonal impacts as well.

In short, you are trying to give your best while feeling like **** and without having recovered from the workout the day before, you are also suffering poor sleep and not getting the calories your body craves.

They give a huge advantage in mitigating the impact - it is one thing to be tired and hungry, quite another to be tired and hungry and having the testosterone levels of a 80 yr old man.

Read what I post again. I said give extra power, where did I say it makes you a KO artist? That extra power can take a good boxer ( someone with sound boxing technique and good accuracy ) to the next level. But yes if you suck power wont do much if you cant land the punch.

I have a nephew who was very short for his age; like 4ft8 or something at age 18

Anyway, his family paid for him to have HGH injections every month for some time.

He's now mid 20s and around 5ft3 tall

Still short but considering where he was and where he ended up it's still impressive

Testosterone improves strength (and therefore speed), coordination, reaction time, short term memory and long term memory. The latter two are also very useful for fighting and training.

If PEDs didn't absolutely benefit pro athlete's then they would have never actually had governments funding them at various times. The Soviets cracked this in the early 50s and it started to spread out from there.

Even before testosterone was synthesized, there are stories of athlete's eating raw bull and sheep testicles due to the perceived benefit they could get from them (they got no benefits but it shows the athlete mind).

I think it gives you more power and makes your tissues stronger. Which makes you more durable.

Look at Canelo. He gets hit a lot, but never gets stunned or bleeds, not a scratch on his face. So it makes him impossible to be knocked down our out. With his power, he knocks out all his opponents. You can beat him by only outboxing him, by decision, like Bivol did.

Look at pictures of a prime 28 year old Holyfield weighting 190 pounds. Then scope him out later looking like Mr. Olympia at a body building contest carrying 25 to 30 more pounds of muscle. The reason athletes take roids is they work, as Tommy Lasorda said about Barry Bonds taking roids,,when he was in his prime he was hitting a lot of balls to the warning track, after taking roids they were now landing in the seats.
