What advantages does Harrison have and how does he win?

This may look a silly thing to say after the Sprott KO, but I really do think Audley's power is a bit over rated nowadays. I remember him landing clean on many very poor quality opponents and him not really rocking their boots or shaking them at all. For such a big guy I'd say his power was nothing special.

Does he hit harder than Monty Barrett? Probably not i'd say, so why all the excitement?!

 

Audley has no power at all. I watched him land flush on a semi-retired Brazilian cruiserweight time after time with no effect, and that was with a static opponent who was giving away about 3 stone. Like I said before, considering his size he can't punch for ****. Haye on the other hand proved he is one of the hardest heavyweight punchers in the division today, just ask John Ruiz.

Audley nearly sent me to sleep in prize fighter! thats only 3 rounds and with a VERY lucky shot on sprott he has NO chance against haye! i will be buying this fight and i hope for my evening's entertainment it lasts longer than 6 rounds but it wont! i just hope there will be some good undercards so i get my pennies worth!

That and his southpaw stance, however at this stage, what he lacks, is the youth to compliment it, his reflexes are considerably slower due to his age, so sitting back trying to counter most probably wont work, particularly as he is fighting a guy that is considered quicker, the other issue he has, is that his age will of effected his stamina levels, so applying pressure will be an issue, not to mention, he has never! been an aggressive fighter, infact he is a cautious fighter by trade.


The ticket for Harrison, if he is to win, is to press Haye from behind the jab off the front foot, but make sure he cuts the ring off as he does it, I guarantee that game plan will give Haye major issues.

Haye has a tendency to go back in a straight line when attacked, he gravitates toward the ropes, only stepping off the line when his back hits the ropes, which is why the pressing him behind the jab, to back him up, then doubling and trippling it to push him toward the ropes, then coming with the right hands as he tries to pivot away, would work a treat, but you HAVE to cut the ring down when jabbing, that is the key, see Ruiz got nailed so much cause he tried to walk in without the jab, the jab helps you maintain that long range, that safe distance, now if you have a reach advantage like Harrison has, it will work very well if you apply this game plan.

With all that said, I dont think Audley is smart enough, or courageous enough to execute that game plan, Audley probably think its a smarter idea to sit back in the center ring trying to pick up counters, only that is a huge mistake, Haye will get time to think, to set up his attacks, he will be able to get off first due to his extra speed, and Audley wont be able to pick up the counters cause his reflexes are too aged, plus, he does not move his head off the line much, which means sooner or later, when Haye is using those raiding tactics, he will eventually step in and blast Harrison.

 

I can see Haye folding Audley in half with a body shot.

 

This is the kind of hat superiority that will give Audley the edge.....
