Considering Pac's tax problems the last thing he needs is a deal like what he just signed, there is no money to be made with Top Rank, all the lucrative fights for Pac are either GBP or independent. What does Manny have against independence, if he is as big, popular, as you say he is then he didn't need Top Rank, does he?

That's why it's hard for me to see him beating or competing with Floyd, he'll lose during the promotion, he wouldn't be able to match wits or contracts with Mayweather.

I don't think the psychological games would affect Pacquiao. I don't think he'd be able to adjust mid fight either.

    agreed,
i dont think pac is intelligent enough to be bothered by any physic games. he comes off as a 8 year old kid, a very behind 8 yr old kid.

he's not even stupid, he is too uneducated and too under developed to be stupid. he is a 8 yr old in a 18/20 yr old body. he would be utterly lost in the ring with floyd and probably start crying and run out of the ring

I'm not sure how anyone can question Pacquiao's intelligence. He's going to get paid $20M+ per fight and the opposition won't be too stiff. Pacquiao's legacy is pretty secure as long as he doesn't keep getting knocked out Roy Jones style. They're trying to pay this guy over $20M to go over to China and fight a JWW who was a club fighter not too long ago.

And you justify this fight as a legit fight for pac which will enhance his legacy if he wins?

And I never knew there were so many business advisors at ESB..Wonder why Cotto chose to work with Arum again guess he's just as dumb as Manny ..

You guys must be making so much more than this guy he should give you guys a call

Cotto does one fight deals and last I checked Cotto got a Mayweather fight and payday, maybe Manny should take notes rather than sign binding contracts that offer fights with Chris Algieri in Macau!!

Manny has already been exposed as having 5 million guarantees, 20 million is wishful thinking, and hell the IRS in US and Philippines is taking whatever he makes anyway....hence why he's fighting in China against a guy who won't get paid much of nothing, the writing is on the wall dude, try reading it

    Exposed by who

    According to Espn

Their official purses for their rematch on Saturday night (HBO PPV) at the MGM Grand are $6 million apiece, according the contracts filed with the Nevada State Athletic Commission. However, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Pacquiao is guaranteed a minimum of $20 million, much of which will be paid out in the weeks after he collects the $6 million check on fight night.

So what you have more of a source than Espn ?

If you think Manny is bigger, better, more popular than Floyd then shouldn't he be guaranteed more money than Floyd? What advisor advises his client to take less than he is worth?
