    Earlier the better I suppose.

Although remember that kids aren't mini-adults, make sure the kid isn't pushed too hard.

Different gyms may start accepting members from different ages, a gym I worked at while I was a student would accept children of any age but were not allowed to spar until they were 11.
Rules may also vary from country to country, but I know children in the UK must be 11 years old before they can compete.

I would say as early as possible. When I was 4 I use to go with my dad to the gym when he fought, but I never trained. I would of been training but I started playing American football when I was 6 until 18. I would say even if you don't have the kids spar or want them to box at all, they should know how to defend themselves, because people are savages in today's world. I plan on teaching my little boy the sweet science as soon as he is old enough.

Some years ago I had a friend's 4 year old jabbing and moving pretty good, throwing some nice combinations. No age is too young if the teacher is patient and keeps it fun.

No age is early enough to start training and learning to box but they shouldnt spar until they are around 9-10 yrs old.

The same age most kids start getting into serious fights at school and on the street. Around 12 or 13.

The joys of being able to necropost in some places. Maybe they understand more about how to forum and thats why their ratio isn't 140 likes for over 9000 posts;0
