What's the excuse for struggling with 5'9", took the fight on a week's notice Tarvis Simms then? If Green struggles to hit a slow, unathletic midget like Simms, how's he going to connect with Ward, who I imagine will be fighting southpaw for most of the night as well?

Frankly, I think Green was full of **** when he says his colon was removed. The timeline just doesn't work. If that happened, no way would he be back in the ring 3 months later like he was. I don't doubt he had some problem, but nothing as major as he's claimed.

^ It's because Green didn't have a knife like Travis Simms did

  3. Actually, not really. He should've never been in that position to begin with. He's lucky the ref didn't stop the fight.:-(

Any one that really think's green has a chance really don't have a clue about boxing and or about these two fighter's, Green had his chance 4-5 years ago but know at 30 not going to happen "just a dream" ya he has a ko record but againest who"washed up no body's" and boywas he been rocked Againest them, the whole thing is I don't care who you train with or spare with with age you slow down and you can't take a punch as well. You have two guy's going in different direction's Green who is past his prime and a padded record and Ward who has not reached his prime and that's a fact.
Green's colon is really going to hurt after the ass wooopen he's going to get by Andre ward.

    Ward by Ko or Tko!

No excuse. It was an uneventful and listless performance.

Well, there is a possibility that Green could be exaggerating his situation, but like I said..I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, recovery time for a colon resection can be as short as a few weeks or as long as 2 months. It varies from person to person and depends on which type of operation they had.

lol....That was actually his sparring partner at some point in his career. And I think they were friends. That was great!:rofl However....I'm going with a Green TKO or KO by way of a crisp left hook.

I think Green is a pretty talented fighter, with above average power. Why the heck does he always look at his feet tho? Ward will jump on him if he's still doing that.

My introduction to Allan was a spectacular KO of Jaidon Codrington, and it was a nasty knockout for the few who haven't seen it. Since then he hasn't impressed me as much, but it doesn't seem to be talent holding him back, instead I think it's focus and bad luck.

Make no mistake, Green can definitely pull this fight out, but I don't have him as a favorite.

He did well to survive that, shows a lot of heart to get up from that and come-back to stop a tough guy like McCrary. He's obviously improved since '06 anyway, although I still think he drops a UD here.

I read recently that Green has never had a real full eight week training camp. The Ward fight is first one and most of his fights have come on no more than five weeks notice. Maybe this can explain some of the dull performances? I don't know, I am rooting for Green though on Saturday.

Do you know what happened to Green before and after the fight that had to do with a major medical problem which required Green to have surgery? Not to make any excuses but what he had done is something that is serious and offers a valid reason to why Allen didnt do so well with Miranda.

A few weeks seems pretty short. And dude needs to train (especially his ab muscles) before he can take another fight. Even for routine surgery, a fighter is usually out for 6 months, and colon removal is far from routine and would leave a decent incision. I can't imagine his doctors would approve him starting training again under those circumstances.

From a doctor's website who does this surgery:

    http://www.debakeydepartmentofsurgery.org/home/content.cfm?content_id=274&proc_name=colon+resection

Anyway, my opinion is generally that Green isn't much special outside of decent power and good killer instinct when he has someone hurt. But he's always struggled when he can't hurt a guy, before or after the purported operation. It's not like he looked great against Rubin Williams either, and Williams is as ordinary as they come.
