I think Green will connect with some big shots and KO Ward on Saturday, just a gut feeling because Ward is obviously the more skilled of the two, but for some reason I think he will get sloppy and leave himself open at some point.

Anecdotes are not data. And really, do you honestly think that it's COMPLETELY random? Miguel Cotto brutalized Alfonso Gomez. Manny Pacquiao brutalized Miguel Cotto. By your logic we could not then conclude the Manny Pacquiao would brutalize Alfonso Gomez because hey, styles and circumstance and blah blah, and it's completely random.

But it's not. Pacquiao WOULD brutalize Gomez, and we know this. Amongst fighters of the same class it makes less sense to say "A beat B and B beat C, so A beats C", but there's no evidence whatsoever that Alan Green is the same class of fighter as Andre Ward, and there is some pretty good evidence to the contrary.

For every example you can come up with where the triangle theory didn't hold there are myriad examples where it did.

Dude 30 shouldn't be past prime for your average smw unless ur a jermain taylor type who has taken a bunch of beatings. Also, yes green's resume is light and shows a loss to miranda one of the best fighters he's fought (but u gotta consider the colon issue hurting a little), but Ward's pro resume isn't exactly littered with elite fighters. Not saying that ward won't win, just saying that I don't think green's age and lack of opposition are the reasons why Green won't

! Alfonso Gomez doesn't belong in the same stratosphere as Cotto or Pacquiao. If Pacquiao-Gomez ever materialized, logic would lead us to conclude Pacquaio would brutalize Gomez because Gomez is not in his class..not because he got beat by Cotto. You're really taking it to the extreme here using Gomez as an example.

Prior to the Kessler fight, was there any evidence that suggested Ward was the same class of fighter as Kessler?

Especially when you're talking about C-level fighters facing elites.

I like Green. I think he has talent. I have no Idea how to measure his class at this point as the only legit fighter he has faced recently bullied him around and beat him. Green's opponents have been a terrible mixture of over the hill and under prepared fighters since his loss. Has he gotten better? I don't know. Is he healthier? I don't know. Is he one of the ten best SMW's in the world? I don't know. Based on style, power, and record alone he looks pretty damn good. You look at who he has fought and he doesn't look so good.
