What am I missing with Prograis

He is very good toe to toe and when he can walk a guy down. But he is vulnerable when his opponent uses the jab or gets on their toes. His jab and straight punches are not very good. In the Taylor fight everything seemed pretty even but when Taylor used the jab or got on his toes Prograis did not really know what to do. He is fun to watch though when his opponent is willing to trade punches.

 

every fight except this last one where the guy just boxed in circles and did nothing to try to win the fight. tough style matchup. If zorilla woulda engaged he woulda got kod.

 

i disagree. Taylor prograis was a draw in my book. Prograis is a better fighter now and taylor is washed up. who really won that fight?

 

The thing that was the most alarming to me was the advice to counter punch in the corner. Unless they were trying to bait haney or get a big fight. They had to know zorilla wasnt winning

 

a point here or there but that fight was one that needed 15 rounds. neither guy really seperated. Im not taking either guys belt on that fight.

 

Taylor won in my opinion but it was a hard fight. Prograis says he wants to fight Taylor again. I think it’s fair to do it again in the USA. Since Prograis went to the UK last time and he is the one with a belt now.

Haney is the worst fight for Prograis style wise. But probably his biggest money fight.

 

i dunno, he fought a perfect fighter to prepare him. He looks at that fight and makes adjustments he should be fine. I dont trust his team to help him though. Hes on his own studying that film

Maybe for a bit but then the referee will break them apart. Haney has one of the best jabs in boxing. And good footwork and a good straight right hand. Those are the tools to use against Prograis.

 

all depends on the ref. If a fighter is just grabbing to grab then he should allow a couple seconds of regis rough housing and punching. The ref should shout intruction and not just yell stop when haney grabs. Same **** they did to bhop vs de la hoya. Its bs.
