I wondering what American region you guys feel produces the best fighters lets keep trash talk to a minimum what made me even think of this is a old clip about Roger saying midwest has the best fighters so I figured it would make a interesting discussion.

Posters outside of the U.S please state your opinions as well. If anybody is missing off the lists (I'm pretty sure there is alot) or you feel a fighter in a different region should be in another one let me know(along with the reason) and I will add or remove boxers from one region to another. One other thing lets assume all these boxers are at they very best obviously as I tried to add past present and future boxers from all eras.

    Northeast
Robinson (Think he moved to Harlem around 12-13 where he developed boxing skills and amateur career, its debatable because sometimes he is considered a midwestern fighter)
Leonard (Born in NC raised in MD where he learned to box)
    Hagler
    Tyson
    Bowe
    Hopkins
Holmes (Moved to PA around 8 or so where he developed boxing skills)
    LaMotta
    Fraizer
    Judah
    Pep
    Dawson
    Marciano
    M.Taylor
    Barkley
    Briggs
    Cooney
    McGirth
    Moorer
    Gans
    Russell Jr.
    Patterson
    Langford
    Greb
    Walcott
    Tunney
    L.Peterson

    Midwest
    Mayweather Family
Hearnes (Moved to MI where he developed boxing skills)
    Pryor
    Louis
Armstrong (moved to St. Louis where he developed boxing skills)
    Moore (see Armstrong)
    Toney
    Mancini
    Spinks Family
    Pavlik
    Griffin
    Nunn
    Broner
    Dirrell
    Norton
    Douglas
    McClenium
    McCall
    E.Charles
    Alexander
Liston(based in the south but I think moved to St.Louis where he found boxing)

    South
    Ali
    Holyfield
    Foreman
    Jones Jr.
    Tarver
    Whitaker
    P.Williams
    J.Taylor
Wright (Born in DC grew up in FL)
    Forrest
    Berto
    Johnson
    Cloud
    Lacy
    Kirkland

    West Coast

    De La Hoya
    Mosley
    Vargas
    Ward
    Dempsey
    Garcia Family
    Corrales
    Bradley
    Guerrero
Ortiz (moved from Kansas to California I think where he develop boxing skills)
    Rios (see Ortiz)
Donaire (born in Philippians moved to Cali where he found boxing)
    Trout
    G.Hernandez

    Notes:
Alot of fighters such as Holmes, Patterson, Moore, Robinson Hearnes etc where actually born in the south then moved to the inner cities like alot of blacks did at the time so if they stayed the south would have much more fighters and would hands down be the best, and if Mexico was apart of California would have much more boxers as well. In the present day Midwest and West Coast are producing better fighters than the Northeast and South.
