I think he did not spend any time, but I am not completely sure. If you could, please post a source also.
a year I think. I cant think he spend 3 years total though. Other wise there is no way he did thsos school tours.
Are you sure? Because take a look at this, "Ali had no illusions about what would happen to him should he fail. In recalling his one week in prison in December 1968 for driving without a valid license he said". "Jail is a bad place Youre all locked up; you cant get out. The food is bad, and theres nothing good to do. You look out the window at cars and people, and everyone else seems so free. Little things you take for granted like sleeping good or walking down the street, you cant do them no more. A mans got to be real serious about what he believes to say hell do that for five years, but I was ready if I had to go." I remember this thread being posted a while back, I searched but could not find it; but reading these two quotes I am inferring that he only spent time in jail for driving with a suspended licence, and did not have to serve for his draft evasion conviction.
He never spent a day in jail over the draft issue. He was sentenced to 10 days in Dade County jail for a traffic violation, though I think he was let out after a week.
