After reading some posts last week I had my hopes somewhat high for this fight. However, what a disapointment it turned to be. I was hoping it would get better as the fight went on but it got even worse. Masterful perormance by BH included hugs, headbuts, elbows and more. He even managed to tackle WR with his feet. Honestly, I couldn't even score this ugly and boring "fight"

And people complain about Hatton, at least Hatton never stops throwing punches on the inside and doesn't lead with his skull.

I still thought Hopkins won clearly, however, he landed the better shots.

I recall some people were saying that this fight was not as bad as other BH's fights, so I had my hopes.

I am still trying to decide what was more boring DLH vs. PBF, Taylor cs. Spinks or BH vs. WR.

I thought it was fine. It was certainly a high tempo then I thought BH could sustain and there was better then expected action throughout. So i was more then satisfied.

I guess you are much easier to satisfy then. I thought it was absolutely disgusting.

I didnt enjoy all the dirty tactics from BHop. I thought Winky deserved a much better score then what he was given also. 117-111 is flat out ridiculous.

It was not a goo fight. Two sloppy fighters who once were warriors. One at least tried, but nah.... not good at all.

Mayweather-DLH was the same or .. well, it was really even worse.

HBO or whoever are ruining boxing with these "name" fight instead of focusing on the people that can actually box NOW, they focus on the people that could box once. They should rather write a book about them or make a "remember when.." program about them, but not make a fight and pretend it will be a super battle.

That and stop the Floyd "many divisions" Stupidity. Floyd is mind numbingly boring at these weights. Get him back down to a weight where his power can compete so he doesn't have to rely only on his Ottke-skills. That is also destroying boxing that we have such a good fighter running giving us one shitty fight after another - just because they would like to artificially build a resume for him.

Manny is, at least to some degree, just bitter about all the **** his boy Taylor gets for the 2 fights against Hopkins, which he may have a right to be. I had the fights for Hopkins, but could see it going the other way.

It was horrible especially as the rounds went on the clinches increased more and more I barley saw any clean punches land.
