I used to study Shotokan Karate for over 10 years (Same style as Lyoto Machida studies). - I got to First dan black belt and gradually lost interest.

Due to health reasons I cannot compete in any form of martial art at the moment (very frustrating) but I do train quite a bit - running, weights and some light sparring.

I've boxed on an off for many years, but I don't really count any of the experience before the last couple years when I've been at my current gym. The coach there really tore me down and built me back up much better. The gym is actually a jkd/kickboxing gym and I've done some of that, though I spar so much more boxing than kickboxing that I'm really not that comfortable with the distance/timing of it yet. There are some guys who do MMA stuff and I'll spar with them sometimes, though not usually for long because they're all in really good shape and a lot tougher than me. It's fun though.

I've always wanted to get into judo, and if I can find the money in the monthly budget and time in the week I may start sometime in the next few months.
