Could be, but: Fury's got enough of power for Joshua to respect him - just like Klitschko did.

Chin-wise I don't think Joshua is better than Klitschko.

They are basically the same blueprint of each other.

Same, height, same weight, same built, same stamina problems, same chin problems, and so on. Joshua is just like a younger version of Klitschko - more willing to take risks and trade punches.

 

Klitschko was terrible against Fury, nothing to do with respect. Fury ran all night because he knows he can't take to many shots. It will be the same against Joshua.

Not sure how you know about stamina or chin when we haven't seen Joshua tested.

 

We saw those flaws against Whyte.

He went shaky and slow-paced, that's enough for the eyeball test.

Joshua was hurt from a shot that would stop a lot of boxers. He did slow down but mainly from two sickening left hooks to the body. Nothing to do with stamina.

Fury went down from Cunningham, Klitschko chin is made from paper. Didn't stop him from being successful.

Yes, his punch selection is rather basic once gets his man hurt. Of course it hasn't mattered a dime but it is indicative of muscle mass limiting range of motion. Joseph Parker throws better, more fluid combinations, it's just a question of whether the Kiwi can cancel out those natural advantages if and when they fight.

The comparisons with a young Wladimir and Joshua are not completely on the money. Wladimir always had that cautious element to him, used his arms like feelers. Joshua doesn't do that. He tucks up and marches forward. He can hurt anyone for sure but his style may play even more into Fury's devious hands.

 

Agreed. But young Wlad is the best comparison.

Joshua marches more like a soldier in the ring. But the hardware in terms of built, strength's and weaknesses are basically the same.

Klitschko has gamebreakers just as Joshua. Stamina problems just as Joshua, similar bodies, similar flaws, just physique.

They both could adapt each other tactics and still succeed with it.

It's has more to do with their mindsets than their hardware in my opinion.

Switch their minds and bodies and you would get the same final product.

First of all, let me admit I don't like the guy. He's so smug. He's so phony.

But his weaknesses? I would say it's his resume. It's easy to look amazing when you fight amateurs.

People say Dillian Whyte was good, but people were only excited about him as prospect. He's beaten no one. His resume is terrible.

People say Charles Martin was a real test. Charles Martin is garbage. His resume is unreal in how bad it is. The only real boxer he faced was Glazkov, and that fight essentially didn't happen.

He needs to fight someone who's 1. Proven. 2. Not on his deathbed (Kevin Johnson).
