What phrases would you guys say are the most overrated in boxing? Now this isn't limited to the ones announcers use, but also to those used by fans. For example Lampley's use of "the crowd is on their feet", and the term "tomato can". Which ones can you guys think of?

After the Hatton v Floyd fight "check hook" gets used, never saw/heard anyone say it before hand, although all users swear they had used it or heard of it before that fight.

"Big Right Hand" I watched 3 different fights the other night and the number of times this was used in different fights was incredible

Jim Watt uses a load of phrases whenever a British fighter in a big fight gets hit with anything - even a Junior Witter-style 'jab'!

"CLEANEST PUNCH OF THE FIGHT SO FAR!"

Lampley throws that one around at will, almost once a round....in fact I think in Peter/Klitschko he used it TWICE in the same round.

    Jim is a nut.

when boxers win fights: " first of all i'd like to thank god......" and then go on to completely ignore the question they are asked and go off on a tangent.

If a Buddy McGirt fighter is on the show, You can bet you'll hear "pop that jab" at least 40 times.
