Just a question of interest I’m not certain there are any, I know that Europeans stereotype consists typically of upright clinchers with pawing jabs.
I would guess upon hearing that an “up and coming Eastern Asian” boxer that I needed to check out...I would naturally assume they were a featherweight or below? So I think a stereotype that usually proves true is that they generally fight in the lower weight divisions. And that they are bad drivers but exceptionally good at math.
Strong chins. Lack of defense Heart There were of course exceptions but I saw an awful lot of guys who got title shots in the 80s who fit this stereotype.
Stamina. Well schooled and conditioned. Ton of national pride and heart. Sometimes too aggressive and reckless. Stubborn. A lot of times I would see an Asian fighter not able to adapt or have a Plan B if what they were doing was ineffective.
