    of unifying the 154 division.

I would personally love to see him try rather than any of these rematches with Pac or Marg at least for a while.

So could he or is he not on that level??

I like the guy a lot and think he's an elite 147-pounder still, skill-wise. I just don't think he's got the skin for it with high caliber 154 guys. I can see Martinez or Dzinziruk cutting this man's face to hell. He think he could unify with Spinks possibly though. Spinks at 154 and Berto at 147 are very winnable for him, I think.

    no chance.

    Sergio turns out the lights.
Paul makes him look like Frazier did against Foreman.
    Cintron embarasses him.

I would like to see him derail the Williams hype train and then go back to 147 and beat the **** out of Berto. He should forget about unifying the titles at 154.

Cotto fights very well against guys who fight under a certain intensity. By that I mean fighters who will give him time to go up and down the gears if and when he chooses. He struggles when he comes up against pressure and fighters who can take his shots and still keep up the output.

So, he's ****ed against P.Willy, Martinez and maybe a few others. Cintron I think he beats, because Cintron will allow him to do his thing. Still might be tough one though if Cintron can establish range and snake in those rights.

The TS is talking about unifying. Since unlike Cotto, Paul and Cintron don't actually have a belt at 154...You have Spinks, Dzinziruk, Martinez and Cotto. But, I understand, you have to mention Paul. I get it.

Didn't I read somewhere Martinez was stripped of his title at 154lbs?

I think the WBO stripped him of his middleweight title, because he wouldn't ditch his WBC light middleweight title. Bunch of bull****, if you ask me. If I have it straight, that is.

Double-checked, yeah, WBO decided to take the 160-pound title away.

I'd love to see him having a try vs. Martinez in a unification, the winner to be crowned The Ring champ at 154lbs. IMO Floyd will end up facing Pac so no Mayweather-Martinez on the horizon and Williams is not yet committed to the Sergio rematch, so Cotto seems the logical choice for the classy Argentinean.

I doubt however Bob Arum will EVER put Cotto in vs. a non-Top Rank elite figher, especially after what Martinez did to a 178lbs Kelly Pavlik. Very unfortunate, because unlike many, I'd actually consider Cotto a very live underdog and it's the biggest fight available ATM at LMW.

But Bob Arum is in the way unfortunately.

Oh right...no doubt he is going to be stripped of another belt when he decides what weight he is going to be fighting at next.

Cotto isn't no. 2 in the rankings, so it wouldn't be for the Ring 154 title. Sergio is ranked 1 but not the champ there.
