He has a GREAT chin... Never been PROPERLY down in his whole 39 fight careeer which spanned 5 weight classes and 6 world titles? A natural 130 pounder fighting 147 and even 154 pounders and taking their shots fine?

I also disagree about the pressure. ONE fight in his whole career and he can't handle pressure? Not in my view, especially if we're now talkin' about POST Castillo Floyd.

    The first 4 were ludicris.

Bad judgement calls when it comes to family, friends, hangers on,career, and he has a serious issue with acceptance( he wants it so badly but doesnt seem to know what to do with it when he gets a little)........Also has all the talent and oppurtunity in the world and cant handle it:rasta

Lack of combinations, his body's breaking down, brittle hands, a little light on the power, struggles to defend against a good jab, can be bothered by effective pressuring at times, lacks balls, not strong enough physically to compete on the inside.

maybe cotto or his dad. i fink big body punchers may shatter his confidence and bully him into making stupid mistakes and may end up getting clocked with a KO punch.

He doesn't take risk there for not embraced like other fighters. Thats a weakness to me as a fighter because he leaves too many qustions marks.

Watch the DLH fight, for the first 7 rounds DLH pummelled him with the jab and he couldn't do much about it, DLH has an excellent jab and he used it effectively and Floyd struggled with it, before he blew-out after 7 and abandoned it, which is why I said he struggles against a good jab.

Floyd isn't the most built of fighters, he's fantastically conditioned and his handspeed means he can compete on the inside, but the fact is he lacks the power and physically strength to be able to outmuscle opponents on the inside, which is why you never see him fighting on the inside and instead ramming his elbow in his opponents face to prevent them getting inside.

Aren't you the idiot who laughed when I said Guzman would KO Gamboa at this point in time? I'm still waiting for your answers on that, I even PM'd you asking why so don't ignore me. How about you give a real contribution instead of using a bunch of smileys to disagree with people's points like the ****** that you are, how about you give us some proper analysis aye?

So what are Floyd's weaknesses? With analysis aswell, and reply in the Guzman-Gamboa thread why you think it's so laughable when I suggest Guzman would KO Gamboa, again with analysis please.

Which is why I said effective pressure. Hatton did not apply pressure effectively, he pressured him more than Castillo but he moved forward slowly in straight lines lacking either the necessary movement or defensive guard to muscle up on Floyd and cut the ring off, which is why Floyd could pot-shot him easily. Castillo on the other hand effectively pressured Floyd, he didn't pressure him as much as Hatton but he cut off the ring and bobbed inside with a high defensive guard and with good movement not coming forward in straight lines, so he was able to cut the ring off and get Floyd against the ropes and muscle up on the inside and work the body, which troubled Floyd no doubt as many believe he lost that fight, and it was certainly the closest anyone has pushed him.
