Whilst i do agree with you to some extent, Fury can be KO'ed. Wilder has good power but his actual finishing abilities are poor, as he normally gets his opponents out of there with 1 punch. If you had someone like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Joe Louis, who are great finishers it would be a different story.
Already highlighted but Fury does suffer from lapses in concentration, however it will not be Usyk who is the one to exploit this issue. Usyk is a World Class talent and arguably the greatest Cruiserweight ever but he has done nothing at Heavyweight to show me he can beat Fury. If anyone does not agree with this please explain to me what he has done as a Heavyweight that makes you think differently. If Fury is to get beat it will come from switching off, being lazy and being caught with a monster shot. Wilder came close in the first fight but Fury’s remarkable recovery powers allowed him to get up,Fury is getting older now and surely his recovery powers can’t save him every time . Fury v Usyk in all likelihood will be like Fury v Wlad, not fan friendly at all with both fighters trying to out smart the other unless Fury puts it on Usyk from the first bell and try’s to grind him down for a late stoppage . I think it could be boxer v boxer but then again can Usyk punch hard enough to keep Fury honest or will Fury have a round or two then put it on him. Usyks lack of fights at Heavyweight could well be his downfall,he could have had a lot more fights at Heavyweight since 2019 but was WBO mandatory to Joshua even before he fought in the division so just played the waiting game imo as anybody else would have. A fascinating fight that has to happen .
I think Tysons only weakness is that he's got a touch of the Calzaghes about him , he gets distracted and starts fighting down to his oppnenrs level then he ( like Joe ) snaps back out of it and goes back to fighting his fight , in all fairness to the fella he's brought the heavyweight division some fantastic moments in recent years both inside & outside of the ring, good luck to the bloke .
1) Hold hooks and straights landed on him at a short range like Wallin and Wilder did. 2) In general he gasses out 2 or 3 rounds before the 12th. 3) Difficulty in handling more aggressive fighters able to dodge his defensive uppercuts entering his defence and hammering him.
One weakness is his fat, it's compromised his camps a number of times. Another is probably keeping his hands too low at times and taunting. Another is getting too 'cute' and thinking he can play with everyone, which got him cut in the Wallin fight. Another more recent one is believing/being told he is a KO artist and ignoring his defence.
Last 2 fights fury has been spoiling his work too much. By that I mean he will land 2 or 3 good shots then his feet are too close and he has to clinch. The question is whether that's been on purpose and is part of a ongoing plan for uysk (which would potentially pick him rounds and points up) or is it by a fading of skills/speed or laziness. That to me is his biggest weakness but could be his biggest strength if part of the game plan. When it comes to the uysk fight on paper it's his hardest fight to date but I worry fury, sugarhill and his dad think not and fury goes in half cooked. I see people talking about his fat and weight, I see tyson regularly and he trains every single day even on holiday. Its a combination of his natural size and shape and his medication. I see the fight (if it happens) being pretty boring. Uysk has been caught in his last 2 fights and seems to have not been hurt but he hasn't hurt aj (bar the last 30 seconds of the 1st fight). I fully expect that he will get caught by fury on the way out of a clinch/corner with a body shot or uppercut and be dropped to his knees. It's this point we see what he's got.
He's bald He's not very athletic and tends to gas out in late rounds, starts to clinch even more He's mentally not stable He's got almost zero defense for body punches, he uses his fat to block them He's got bad lateral movement, got problems with good movers (he pics his opponents well) Since his legs are almost gone, he's fighting flat footed (his fast hands are saving him/compansating it) He still got no answer for overhand rights, espacially from smaller men Currently worst boxers for Fury: 1. Joyce (chin, power, fast feet, iq) 2. Usyk (chin, skills, fast, iq) 3. Sanchez (skills, fast, iq)
I don't think he can fight like that anymore. That style was based on quick twitch feints, an excellent jab, good head movements and great lateral movement. He's noticeably slower now. The pressure style he used was perfect to beat Wilder in the second fight, but I think overall, it hampers him as a fighter. But he has no choice but to use a pressure and clinch based style now since it's pretty apparent that his long layoff, drug addictions and former obesity has finally taken its toll on his athleticism. However, he does seem to still have his stamina. I think he's still good enough to beat every one else in the division, although Usyk should give him a tough fight. But he's clearly declining and based on some of his recent remarks, he seems well aware of that.
He has several but they remain unknown to most fans because of his lack of competition ( few fights ring magazine contenders ) who would have greater exposed him and his faults. Who has he bean besides Wilder who? Based on Wilder and the collection of very old and not so good fighters his weakness are: 1 ) His chin. He has been down 6 times in a reality low amount of fights. Twice vs and old curser weight and no-name heavyweight. Four times to the only real puncher he has fought in his prime in Wilder. Do not shocked he gets knocked out. 2 ) His defense and issues with cuts. Suffering a bad cut vs like likes of a fighter he did, and losing rounds to semi skilled guys, not to mention a fight where fat John McDermott was robbed would be an issue if he fought better contenders. Look at the punch stats to the other guy, and you'll get the picture. 3 ) His shape. Busted for steroids and likely on something in other fights but not caught he has regressed into a fat overweight fairly young man. Fighters tend to weight as they age. Will he fight a man who's not 39 that can press him? Or will he continue to fight out of shape men, that like Chrisora. Old man Ortiz is out there. So is Pulev. These are his three biggest weaknesses. He can fight and use his size well, but he not a grade A or I say grade B puncher. In fact to call him a puncher is wrong.
Well said. Good points about his legs and tendency to be hit by semi skilled men. Can he take a body shot? Will he a young contender in Hrgovic Or Jarolov? I highly doubt it but his chances at beating then are best now and I don't think he can. Both men will give him no quarter! They can fight and hit in ways Wilder can not, and their gas tanks are not 1/2 full! We saw what happened to him vs a medium skilled puncher. He was down 4 times, hurt, and barely escaped! Vs young skilled man, he's in for it. I say the coward won't fight them or even mentioned them!
