What are Fury's chances on the cards?

The scorecards from Wilders last fight vs. Ortiz were absolutely awful having Wilder ahead a couple of rounds.

But Fury will win those rounds clearly, no chance to rob him.

His best chance is to wear a Bronze Bomber mask, identical shorts and change his name by deed poll to Deontay Wilder.

 

I find the biased judging, in favor of the money fighter, not necessarily the nationality, disgusting. 3 judges appointed to oversee and judge fights by organizations that have a vested interest in the outcomes is criminal. It should instead be a consensus among press row, made up of perhaps 50 different boxing writers. You would get a much more accurate result. Byrd? Yeah, right.

 

Tyson Fury is going to have to win 117-112 on the cards to get a draw.

If he wins by wider than that then he can knick a split decision win.

Basically the same thing GGG was up against in his first fight against Canelo.

Decisions in the USA, Germany and U.K. for away fighters/non cash cow fighters have been shocking nothing changes in boxing!!!

 

I hope he wins, but Wilder is not tentative like Klitschko, wild and Fury will have to avoid that right hand for 12 rounds.

It goes 2 ways, he outboxes Wilder easy, or Wilder stops him.

 

Fury cant take chances...Wilder CAN make it LOOK as though he's being active which can give the judges ammo to give him rounds...there's no such thing as clearly winning ,he has to punch wilder around and keep doing it bc I wouldn't trust any wilder event with the people involved, that alone would never make me a fan.

I believe this will happen or a late stoppage 10/11 rounds where Fury will be instructed to try and finish. A knock down here and there will also help obviously if he can get them it most likely goes to UD win and fury will let up IF he knows all he has to do is last the 12.

One thing people have overlooked is the main reason for wilders confidence and that's knowing the judges wont go against him....BUT this isn't in N.Y or Alabama....the judging is not set in stone here!

Fury will need to be dominant to win on the cards, a close or close but clear Fury win wont be enough. Home fighter gets the unfair and unspoken advantage from the judges, they are clearly by the sounds from the crowds and the commentators getting a bit carried away for their guy sat not far from them, it happens everywhere and seeing some of Wilder previous score cards, which fair enough wernt needed, they were definitely swaying unfairly in his favour so he isnt an exception and Fury shouldnt be expecting to be treated fairly by the ref or judges.

 

Wrong. The judges have an idea of what to look for going into a fight, and they bring that mentality with them. In this case, Fury is the boxer/mover and they KNOW that. They'll be looking for Fury to do what they think he will do, and that will influence their decision making. Just see the fight between Parker and Williams last night. Laughlin judged it badly, but you could tell he saw Parker as the 'boxer' and Williams as the 'puncher' beforehand, and that must have influenced how he scored it. Parker's movement brainwashed him into thinking Parker won those rounds.

They will apply a similar sort of thing to this fight. If anything it won't be Wilder with the advantage on the cards in this case. It'll be Fury because the judges understand Fury as a fighter, and as soon as they see that box/move thing going on, and as long as Fury isn't getting caught overly much, then they'll give the rounds to Fury. As long as Fury moves and jabs a lot, he can win this fight on points without a fuss. It is down to Wilder to land consistently and sway it in his favour.

 

Wilder was AHEAD on the cards against Szpilka, Washington and Ortiz while getting outboxed by all 3.
It's a disgrace really.
